I remember one of the announcers last night said this..
He said that in five years, 90% of college football will be playing the spread out offense as Florida does.

I can say this, that their Spread offense utilizes their speed and talent..
And as long as we have Fulmer, we wont be changing our offense at all..
so what i ask you guys is, do you think that within the next five years our offense will start to resemble more and more like Florida's? not exactly the same of coarse, but the same basic spread offense where you have many mis-directions and option type plays that Florida killed us on last nite..
Personally, i wouldnt mind to go to an offense as that, because as the game wears on, it just confuses the crap out of the defense with all the different types of packages and things like that, so there will eventually be wide open plays as the one that the TE Ingram scored off of..

we should definetely switch to the spread imo...but it definetely won't happen with Fulmer here.

since the offensive style Fulmer employs, which is probably similar to the offensive style he played while at UT 30 years ago, does not even closely resemble the spread, i don't see it happening with Fulmer at the controls, or anyone from within our system, we MUST look for someone from outside the TN family if we are going to change things here

yes.. that's the best way to utilize your athletes. like what Florida did with Harvin, Fayson, Moore, Ingram, Cooper, and all the other WR's/RB's..

we could do that with O-Neil, Vinson, Moore, Coker, G. Jones especially, and even Berry and Taylor and Paige. They all run a 4.4 or lower
we have just as much speed as they do.. it kills me to see us get smoked like that and to kno that we could be smoking them if we'd use our freakin athletes..

well I agree with the fact that is what they ran 30 years ago, but its not really a matter of weather we switch to that offense or not. sure we might have the players to play that type of offense, but in my opinion its more important that we learn to defend against the type a friggin offense!
