i like that. urban went down in my book to the likes of osborne and bowden. suspend them for the rest of the year. if they keep there nose clean allow them to rejoin in the spring.

Is the complete story out yet? If they were simply drunk and not really causing problems, then I see no problem with it.

they were arrested for disorderly conduct, underage drinking, and public intoxication

You have no problem with them being drunk, underage, out at 3 AM, in a nightclub? Surely you are kidding.

I would honestly say regular season. 3 AM in a night club drunk hours after a game... I may be harsh, but I don't think a game is enough.

suspend them for the season?..They're college kids. Plus we don't even know all the details, i'd wait and see the whole story before i be so harsh.

jeez, why not? after all, they're "just kids...". It's not like they hopped in a Cadillac Escalade and ran down a physics major on Cumberland Ave.

I wonder if we had won last night and these kids did the same thing if all you "suspend them" fans would still have the same attitude. I think you guys are being ridiculous, they are college kids, they drink and we dont know any details yet. I have a sneaking suspicion that a lot of you guys are the pot calling the kettle black, probably attorneys or politicians that hold society and football players to a higher standard than you hold yourselves. Shame .

Surely, I am not. People getting upset about drinking have too much time on their hands (ie, Mothers Against Drunk Driving...)

that this kind of crap was dealt with before the season last year in a shoddy and not-so-enduring manner. In other words, players did not seem to get the message so we had multiple offenders. I agree that we don't know the whole story, but I know that 5-6 started in the spring. Suspend for the regular season. If they keep it clean and finish academically they can join the team for the bowl game. In addition, what's the big deal in losing 44 yards of rushing? :pardon:

That was in response to a statement concerning staying out until 3 AM. I know of no laws in Knoxville against staying out late...

I don't give a rats a$$ if they're out until 6AM. Just don't put yourself in a situation to get caught drinking when you're underage.

Eveyone was upset with Marcus Thomas and the lack of discipline at first, but when its our team it is a different story?

If you are old enough to vote, you are old enough to drink. I have no problem with 18 year olds getting as drunk as they want to get.

I don't follow laws. I follow moral guidelines. It is attitudes like yours that keep frivolous laws from being repealed.

Yeah, I agree with that as well... IF IT WASN'T AGAINST THE LAW. When you're a starting runningback for the University of Tennessee... you may want to go get drunk in someone's apartment if you're underage... not out in public.
