Considering you guys went to the Holiday Bowl, while USC took a trip to the Rose Bowl, I would say USC got the better deal.
I remember watching I believe in 02 or 04 and Aaron Rodgers was nearly perfect like 23 of 23 or something like that and then he threw like 2 or 3 incompletions on the last drive at the goal line. I think in order to beat USC you have to slow the pace down and try to take some of there weapons out of it, but it seems as if most of the teams in the Pac-10 are to stubborn and want to play it wide open and I don't feel thats the way to beat the Trojans.
Wow, you know your football! That was the game Aaron tied the NCAA record with 23 straight completions. The last drive of the game we got down to like the four yard line and blew it. Man that was a real heartbreaker. That was supposed to be our year. Aaron should never have left early to go to Green Bay and sit on the bench waiting for Brett to retire.
I just wish I could pick up more of the Pac-10 games. It's an exciting brand of football.
Looking at Cal's schedule, they have a realistic shot to win the Pac-10 if they can defeat USC. The only other 2 games in the conference besides USC that they may lose would be to UCLA or Oregon. I would say at worst they will split those games so it'll probably come down to the USC game to decide the title.
