What player are you most excited to watch this year?

Hubbs and Mostella for me. And for a lot of the same reasons. I think they have the highest ceilings on the team.

Not as a freshman. He has to improve his game offensively, meaning shooting. Most of his points were scored from the paint. Rebounds: He will most likely lead the team in rebounds.

I don't see him ever touching those averages, even as a senior. That's national player of the year averages. But hey, I hope he becomes a beast.

Maybe. Maybe not. That remains to be seen. I was speaking of this year. We will need all the frontcourt to be beasts!

So much anticipation and expectations of Hubbs lately. Maybe I should get more excited about him too.

I think he will be a solid player for us but I don't see what there is to be excited about? Honestly. Now if u said Hubbs or Mostella or even Carmichael now those are players to get "excited" about IMO

Reese is one of those players who has been here for two years amd you sort of know what you have in him, and honestly there isn't much to get excited about. He's a decent (but streaky) shooter, decent rebounder, average (at best) defender, and has almost zero ball-handling skills. Without major unforeseen improvement in any of those areas, we have probably seen his ceiling.

When I think of players who potentially get me excited, I think of players who haven't come close to their ceilings yet. Players like Hubbs, who we only saw glimpses of his potential in an injury-riddled season. Players like Mostella who is only scratching the surface of what he can be with his athletic ability. Tariq Owens is another guy who is simply learning how to play the game with his body size. There is no guarantee any of those three ever put it all together, but they offer the highest upside IMO.

Definitely going to be interesting to watch Josh go from the 3rd option to the focal point of the offense being that he's not going to be able to feed off of the attention and double teams that Stokes and JMac received last season.

I somewhat agree, which is why I didn't list him as one I'm egging to see. I still think Reese can improve his game and become a better player, but he's still limited to what he can become. I guess I'm excited to see how he does in a press defense, because under Martin, Reese looked good.

I'm really excited about watching several players lol Our team is gonna be so athletic and we will be playing a style that takes advantage of that . It's going to be fun to watch . I know I'm in the minority, but I'm expecting to make the tournament

I agree that he can improve in those areas, but it will take marked improvement for him to become a difference-maker. He is a tweener, a SF/PF with a SG's mentality, and little in the way of athleticism. He really needs to dedicate himself to playing in the paint as a rebounder/defender. That is where he can make a difference for this team, if for nothing else, a lack of experienced options.

Renaldo Woolridge had the same options, and chose to continue floating around the perimeter and making YouTube videos.

If we take advantage of our athleticism and we do make the tourney I think we will surprise people just like last year

I think it has to be Hubbs. He has guards around him that should allow him to not feel as much pressure to go out and have to score 25 every night. Should help him.

Richardson, I am interested to see if he can transition from being the third option to being the go to guy. I believe he can. I think his defensive effort will give him consistency in his overall game.

?? We had the same situation last year. Mcrae, Thompson, And Richarson. If Hubbs is starting he should have the same pressure to score 10+ppg.
