Obviously everybody is excited about seeing some more offset I formation looks like we saw against NU, but what other packages would you like to see in 2016? Offense or defense, specialty packages or otherwise.

Personally, I'm hoping the offensive staff uses some 22 personnel looks with Hurd, Kamara, Wolf, and Croom on the field at the same time.

The verstility of all those guys means there's a lot that could be done depending on how the defense approaches them. If they go with 3 backers, Kamara and Croom basically have WR type skillsets that could create a mismatch. If they go with a nickel look, we should be able to run right at them.

What are the rest of you hoping to see in 2016?

Wouldn't mind dusting off a Fulmer as OC special. Racked my brain trying to remember what it was called but in essence you load two OTs on one side and bum rush it. No mystery or deception, and with CobbWebb it was deadly brutal. Don't know the feasibility nowadays but it would bring a smile. :)

Think it was something like overloaded tackle.

I want to see Hurd and Kamara running downhill, I want to see real play action from under center, and I want to see 2 tight end sets.

I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I remember Bajakian using a little bit of an under center, 6 OL look for short yardage situations in 2013 (with Kerbyson as the 6th man).

With Hurd and all the depth we've got on the OL, no reason we shouldn't have a heavy formation like that to use when we need inches or a couple feet (bonus points for the Dobbs' naked boot).

Stanford uses it.

Not necessarily a formation but I would like to see more slant routes out of our receivers. I feel like our receivers are never asked to run them but when they do they are almost always open and good things happen. Would've been huge against OK last year when they started sending pressure in the second half IMO.

Tyler and (insert your favorite here) receivers running 50 yard fly patterns and Josh throwing it as far as he can and let the speed run under the ball...at least once a quarter...:)

GO VOLS!

Under-center with 4 wide-outs and Hurd running downhill against a defense out to stop the pass. Even if it is 6-8 yds, I like watching DB's try to tackle him.

Yeah, I would like to see more 12 and 21 personnel on offense, maybe a little 22 as well ... not a ton of any of them, but enough to shake the defenses up even more.

Would love to see a few different wildcats: Maybe a WildKamara...a WildBerry...a WildJennings...and even throw the ball out of one or two of them.

On defense, I'd love to see us in base 4-3 more often, but that's dictated largely by the opponent's offensive scheme. So i'd just be happy us using the "right" package for whatever they've got. Real interested to see how this new Dime package looks. :good!:

Wing- T foremation.

On defense more 3-3-5 personnel.

DE Barnett
NT McKienzie
DE K Phillips

OLB Reeves- Maybin
MLB Kirkland
OLB A Smith

CB Sutton
CB Martin
ST Kelly
FS Gaulden
SS Warrior

A Smith is basically a DE in this formation.
Kelly gets to roam, but will spend a great deal of time in the box

Gaulden is the last line of defense.

Warrior would be blitzing a lot.

3 wide pistol with P Williams, George, and Croom at WR with Kamara and Hurd in the backfield. Get those big bodied receivers blocking downfield for the homerun gains.

Wildcat with Dobbs at receiver and Kamara taking the snap. Lots of possibilities with that.
