UT fans were saying theyre going to help us celebrate our 50th anniversary of our 1969 ACC Championship on the Finebaum show.

If we are fortunate to win the game tomorrow, for those of you who are at the game, please ask the UT fans to help us celebrate our 4th straight win over UT. Although, I don't get a good feeling about the game. I certainly hope I'm wrong but I think UT and the vile fans are really fired up for this game and view it as a must win game. But, we need to view it likewise and walk out of that rat den with a "Win".

EDIT: I plan on today being my last time to watch Paul Finebaum.

I'm in Knoxville...spent most of the afternoon on campus wearing Gamecock gear. Not one negative comment. first time here and the place is old and unimpressive so far. The stadium is rusted and just not attractive. As for the mood...they do not appear confident from what I am seeing and hearing, but we have to go play the game! Let's go Cocks!

Apparently if UT QB Maurer starts they will kill us, but if they start JG they will lose. That is the narrative anyway.

After two concussions in two weeks I would be surprised if they play Maurer. Guarantano is in Pruitt's dog house, big time.I expect they will start Shrout. He has seen limited playing, and never started a game.

Our current streak over UT started with true frosh qb who had never played a down. Shrout is an unknown who was third string last Friday. We need to bring the heat on the DL with an occasional blitz. Guarantano is in the fans doghouse more than Pruitt's. According to their fans, he can't hit anything beyond fifteen yards and is wildly erratic at that distance.

Man I hope so, need to beat Tennessee badly.

I’ve been listening to a Knoxville sports talk show today, and they reported that they are hearing that J.T. Shrout will get the start against you guys. It’s not been officially announced, but that’s who they believe will start. Guarantano is definitely in Pruitt’s doghouse after that debacle on 4th and 1 led to a Bama scoop and score last Saturday.

I look for you guys to bring the heat and stack the box against this kid if he indeed ends up starting.

I am a die hard carolina fan and am actually in east knoxvegas right now....as for the one that says that this place is old and unattractive is wrong....I have been to a lot of SEC towns and knoxville is my favorite....very very friendly hosts and a great overall experience....as for the game itself, I am a realist....should Carolina win this game? More than likely, but honestly I see JJ and MC having career days.....UT is hungry and we are just going with the motions....I say UT by 7 at home....hope I'm wrong, but that is why we play the game....

To be honest it seems like several of the posts are giving us more respect than we deserve. I’m sure some of their older fans remember how we used to always beat them and still understand the kind of program we are SUPPOSED to have.

Living down here in chicken land, just about 45 minutes out of Columbia, I hear it all from these yahoos.

I've been to a few games at Williams Bryce. Although that stadium is newer and nicer than Neyland, it's noticeably less spacious, not laid out all that well except for the big bucks seats, and it's nowhere close to being as loud, festive, and as rough on the enemy as our oldie-but-goody checkerboard pasture.

As for the first poster's comment about our campus: I've been all over USCe's campus...attended a handful of post-graduate classes there (mostly for giggles). It's a credible institute of learning, but not as high up the food chain as UT...not close. Their campus can best be described as a big flat parking lot with a smattering of trees and zilch for traditional structures; nothing attractive anywhere. For that poster to dubiously describe our beautiful and stately campus as old and ugly is downright laughable.

Wouldn't we just love for JT to rip their defense apart in a Peyton-ish manner, for the newest qb controversy to center around which of UT's frosh phenoms is going to lead our Vols back to the big time? I can dream and you can't stop me! Whoop 'em boys!

Thank you! The part about being old and unattractive was the part that bothered me from that post. No way he really meant and believed that. As far as the game I like our chances better if Maurer was starting. If JG starts and plays the majority of the gsme then SC wins by double digits. I'd rather ride with Shrout and see what he can do. S.Car is much better than their record. You guys could very easily be 5-2 and our inability to beat Muschamp adds to my concern about this game.
