What other message boards are saying (UGA post game edition)

There are a few decent Georgia fans but they are the exception. A few recognized our depth issues - not sure if they knew our two starting corners were out and two of our DTs in our two deep were out. Georgia (and Bama) still have more depth at every position than we do. But even with that, it came down to a rookie kid missing a kick…hopefully he recovers because we need our kicker to be effective when we get back into league play.

If this Georgia team is as good as their championship teams, then we’ve closed the talent gap with our starters - just need to get more depth.

-Tennessee held about every play and got away with it. Thank God we overcame that and won.

-Vol fans, as a whole, are not very bright. Every year it's the ref's fault that they lost. The Vols 'held' all night; they seem to miss that little part. And they got away with a few things in the secondary. Guess what? That's football. You see what you want to see.Remains the worse fan base in the SEC. Do not see that changing.
Oh the irony lol

The Neyland comment is a common one I’m hearing from people that were there. Everyone is saying for the caliber of game it was the crowd was not nearly as loud as it generally is. One excuse I’ve seen floating around is we are out pricing the average person. I tend to agree.
Yeah, the good, comon fans are slowly being priced out

To be honest, I only heard it read that comment on here. The GA fans we spoke to said it was loud. The 3rd qtr GA drive was quiet as they went 75 yards in roughly 9 running plays. The fans did their part. And guess what/ many UGA fans could NOT get tix. This was the smallest UGA crowd in Neyland that I can recall.

Georgia is a multiple loss team. They will not beat many with a few down the field lucky passes, screens and 4 yards a carry.

Stockton will be bagging groceries after college.
I kept thinking of a young Carl in Sling blade movie. IMO that's who he looks like.1757893913178.png

I wouldn’t worry about your kicker I don’t think. He really screwed the pooch, but then came back in overtime and drilled almost the exact same kick. I didn’t know he was a freshman, but the pressure on that kick had to be absolutely ridiculous. He recovered immediately, and I don’t think many kids could do that. I absolutely wouldn’t give up on this kid!

-So yall wanna keep calling Bobo one of the worst OC’s in the game? Didn’t think so. Best game of his career against Tennessee.

-Kirby using the timeouts to create execution leverage was brilliant. Everytime you have to snap the ball something bad can happen. The false start was hilarious.

-Tennessee fans are by far the most tortured in the SEC. They are reliving the Butch Jones era.

-We won, it’s all that matters. Tennessee is in the same tier as Auburn. Bama & Texas are both better than Tennessee. I’m more concerned about those two.

-I think Tennessee is the best team we play this year. This Tennessee team is really good.

-Neyland wasn’t nearly as loud as I had anticipated it to be. All and all, I had a good experience and good convos with Tennessee fans.

-It was almost worth playing a frustratingly bad game because it allowed us to more effectively rip their hearts out in the end.

-We are Tennessee’s Alabama

-Should have put it away early in the second half, but beating the hillbillies is always a great game for me.

-We broke Tennessee once again, 4 more losses incoming for those inbreds.

-So when are they going to rename Neyland to The Dawg Pound. We own the state of Tennessee.

-Tennessee is a helluva good football team and should be in the playoffs barring too many injuries. They’re not as deep as we are and that's the only way we could stay with them.

-Always happy to win against the Vols… this one really special because it was gut wrenching and they did likely deserve to win- those Vols are going to struggle to recover emotionally…

-Gunner put his nuts on the table yesterday. Wasn’t perfect, but dude may just have that ice in his veins.

-Tennessee held about every play and got away with it. Thank God we overcame that and won.

-Glad Fulmer and Manning were there to see it. Heard Pruitt was at McDonald’s outside stadium watching on an iPad

-Volnation message board doesn’t require you to sign up to read their forums. Those Vol fans are in full meltdown mode. Fighting each other, threatening their kicker, and more classics. Check out the hillbillies.
We havent threatened anyone but Andy.

Y'all held all night long.

And you got outplayed.

It blows my mind that people pay $300 on up for a football game. Probably $500 for this one. It sucks, but I realized a few years ago, that I'm probaly never going to another home game again.
I usually buy tickets for 2-4 games a year. Probably not buying any this year. Where I would like to sit normally isn’t a “premium” seat and it’s $300+ to $500+ per ticket now. Wasn’t long ago it was $100+ per ticket. The best seats are well over $1000 for an SEC game. My watch parties are epic, so I guess I’ll stick with that.

I think our own coach iced him a little bit. We made some inexplicable coaching decisions late and it cost us.

Agree, the average passionate fan has been priced out, the wine and cheese crowd are just there to socialize

Yes, I absolutely agree. CJH did him no favors on that last drive. Don’t get me wrong, I’m extremely glad it wasn’t, but that should have been a game winning drive, and while the buck ultimately stops with the kicker, the coaching on that drive made it tougher on him.

I was going to buy tickets to the game awhile back and the upper seats were $500 or so. Cheapest seats with the worst view were in the low $400. Lower bowl seats in some spots were pushing 2k. There’s just no way. I was only going to be buying two tickets plus travel expenses. I cannot imagine a family of people.

I actually read a few comments on the JY giving Tennessee credit and admitting they were fortunate to win. Others weren’t necessarily saying nice things about us but freaking out about their defense and certain OL guys.

On the other hand, definitely still a share of absolute clowns. Some users mocking Josh’s weight while Bowl Cut is getting fatter by the month. That Aurelian Dawg guy is obsessed with us. God, I am sick of those barking, obnoxious fans celebrating wins over us!

Glad one of those punks had to lose when the Gumps and Pups play.

I absolutely agree with this. It’s just too much money for the average person, especially if they don’t live near Knoxville and have to add in hotel, fuel, food for a family for 24hrs exc….. It adds up for the average person not to mention a whole family. I mean it’s capitalism and a result of supply and demand and all that, but it sucks for many die hard Vol fans! Same thing is happening in Athens!
Personally, I’m done with the BS ticket prices and all the transfer portal NIL trash. I’ll continue to watch the games, but my level of fandom has cratered. I used to know every player at every position, where they were from and etc.. now I don’t even care

LSU only had 10 1st downs and Lagway threw 5 int. LSU still only managed 20 points. Not sure why Nussmeier gets all the love. UT showed they can score against anybody in the SEC.

This is why I’m still not sold on LSU. If Lagway blesses us with 5 picks when we play them I guarantee we turn atleast 3 of them into 21 points, crazy that Florida had that many turnovers and LSU could only muster 20 points, at night, at home.

It’s like the NFL but ten times worse—don’t get too attached to any players because they may be gone in December…..and then again in the spring.

I’m not sold on LSU either. The Clemson win isn’t turning out to be as big as it first appeared.

Typical no-class, trailer trash UGA fans. Screw them. I love how they call us hillbillies when half their fan base could’ve been extras in Deliverance from what I’ve seen. They are simply the worst fans in the SEC. Period. I hate Bama, as a team more, but I have found most of the Bama fans I’ve interacted with do have class. UGA, no. They’re horrible.

Kinda amusing some are saying the same thing as us about the officials calling things on them and not on TN, TN holding every down, etc. Fans are the same but their is an exception with GA fans. They have some real a$$holes.

The one about Pruitt hanging out at McDonalds outside the stadium was funny.
That's why I despise them so much. A lot are just typical football fans and fine, but most seem to be like mirror images of our worst denizens . Just mouthy, irrational , indignant as hell, and mouth breathers that can't read the room.

I think it was College Gameday being there… it sucked the life out of the students.

I swear some of those fans don’t know college football, they didn’t watch the game, or they didn’t start paying attention to Georgia until they got good.

They forget, they were almost irrelevant until they hired Furry Fart. He is a great coach, Heupel is a great coach. Heupel if he keeps improving, he will eventually beat Georgia. We are not a terrible team, but I will wait to determine our playoff caliber until after we play MS St.

Also, Neyland wasn’t as loud because College Gameday sucked the life out of the students who camped and stood there for 12 hours already. Then, each year we accept more out of state students that have no respect for Knoxville or the traditions of college football, many of them just want to go to the games so they can take pictures and post it on Instagram. The point system doesn’t really work like it’s supposed to because it can be really easily gained. Then there’s ticket prices, and the reduced capacity. The more luxury tickets, the more stuck up the fans get. We need our lawmakers to pass more regulations to prevent resellers and sites from taking advantage of fans, Tennessee will not change by itself. I honestly feel no live entertainment should be able to sell all tickets through anyone but themselves first. They need to stop letting donors/season ticket holders buy up all the tickets and reselling them.

A lot of things, but unfortunately UT has never been one for morals, they have ALWAYS been bag chasers. I love UT but the Big Orange Screw is screwing us (especially students and residents of Knoxville) harder and harder each year.
