Hmmm some UAB sound like Vol fans, imagine that!-The AAC is having such a great year as a conference and we’ve got a coach who wants to take pictures on the sideline.
-Dilfer acted like a fan after the game. Does not look like a coach upset about losing.
-Heupel had zero respect for Dilfer. Pathetic.
-Nobody respects Dilfer except for Tony Dungy.
-Big win against the spread (sarcasm intended)
-The Vols are known for many things. Being classy is not one of them.
-Kind of disrespectful that Tennessee tried to score on that last drive, but Dilfer could care less. Fire him.
-Dilfer is the absolute worst coach in the FBS.
-We will not win another game this year.
-I knew we wouldn’t beat Tennessee, but past UAB teams usually got up for games like this. Dilfer is the problem and the problem needs a solution.
-We are so so bad.
You obviously never played ball. You cannot tell the 2nd and 3rd and 4th stringers to go out and lay down after they spent all spring in the heat and all fall camp in the heat practicing. They earned playing time, not I feel sorry for the other team time. Spurrier said it best, it’s not my job to stop them it’s yours! We very much tried to score, and Merk only kneed because it was a bad snap. Are you blind? Heupel absolutely runs tries to run the score up in these situations every time.
You can definitely call run plays and let the clock run at the end of a blowout. That happens hundreds of times every year. You obviously never played ball. No, it is not!!!! If we wanted to run up the score, we would leave the starters in !!!! We are just letting the 2's and 3's play football, which is what they came here to do!! We are not a participation trophy school. You can definitely call run plays and let the clock run at the end of a blowout. That happens hundreds of times every year.
Again, I do not care that we run up the score. Doesn’t bother me at all. But to deny that we are running up the score is just a lie.
How many teams call passes in the final minute of a 32 point game they are winning? Not many. If you are throwing the ball to the end zone when a kneel down will end the game, you are trying to run up the score. You sound like Jimmy Kimmel. No, it is not!!!! Well, that is a first. Definitely have never been accused of being from Brooklyn. How many teams call passes in the final minute of a 32 point game they are winning? Not many. I'm OK with running up the score. They're getting paid to take that beating. Better that than what UT used to get for their money... similar to what UCLA got recently from New Mexico.I don’t even mind trying to run up the score. I’ve always thought it’s on the other team to stop it. But you are delusional if you see us throwing for the end zone in the final 10 seconds of a 30+ point game and conclude that we aren’t running up the score. The guy has called tight end trick passes up 40+ on a FCS team and onside kicks up big on Kent State. Simpletons such as yourself seem to believe that the key tenet of fandom is to be completely ignorant of reality at all times, while I feel like the fact I have rooted for Tennessee my entire life and got a degree from the university is enough for me to call myself a Vol fan.
Also there is no hyphen in “àsshole.”
We threw into the end zone on the second to last play of the gameIf the coach is still calling pass and trick plays in the last 2 min of a game, IMO that's running up the score. Other than that you call the same plays for the reserves you would with the starters and let them play.
Only game I remember Heuple intentionally running up the score was against Mzou at home 2-3 yrs ago when Heuple left the starters in and scored a TD with time running out for like 62 points. Him and Drink have never been buddies since then.
It’s okay to run up the score with backups. I think we agree. You can definitely call run plays and let the clock run at the end of a blowout. That happens hundreds of times every year.

Or you throw to the end zone up 32 when a kneeldown would kill the clock and end the game. Or you would onside kick up 30 on Kent State. Or you’d have your tight end throw a bomb up 38 on UT Martin. Or you’d call timeout to try to get the ball back with 2 seconds left up 56 against UTEP. Or you’d tell Joe Milton to throw as far as he can in garbage time. You’d do all of those things. If we wanted run up the score you leave Joey in, Star in, Mathews in, etc. We could have scored 90. People complains about attempting to run up the score will complain about backups not getting meaningful snaps.
Nothing says classy like late hits, targeting on special teams and trying to injure a kicker-The AAC is having such a great year as a conference and we’ve got a coach who wants to take pictures on the sideline.

two of those plays were in the first half of a gameOr you throw to the end zone up 32 when a kneeldown would kill the clock and end the game. Or you would onside kick up 30 on Kent State. Or you’d have your tight end throw a bomb up 38 on UT Martin. Or you’d call timeout to try to get the ball back with 2 seconds left up 56 against UTEP.
