1992 was my first UF game as a student at UT. CRAZY day with the ass whoopin' and rain, etc. Very special afternoon. All the coeds with rain drenched tshirts! Silly.

'twas a thoroughly enjoyable game indeed. However, I much preferred the outcome (45-3) of the 1990 game: 1990 Tennessee 45 Florida 3 - YouTube. Team 118 may possess the will but, at present, lacks the experience and overall firepower to unleash that kind of withering assault. Nevertheless, when momentum is properly primed, it can exaggerate or minimize talent disparities that otherwise exist.

Back then, UT was coming off a last minute win at Georgia. Tennessee is in a different position, to some extent this time around.

I remember that game very well. UF was in year 3 of the Spurrier era and had beaten Kentucky by a considerable margin the week before. Florida was also a MNC contender at the time with a AP ranking of #4 and favored in the game as well.

I just don't see too many similarities between then and now, unless there's a 80% chance of a deluge that will form over Knoxville after the 1st quarter and stall out.

I meant the result of the game itself feels something like 31-14.

If we keep Jeff Driskel in the pocket, I think we win the game. I always get a little nervous when we play a mobile QB. I'd like to see JRM spy Driskel for most of the game

I'm not too extremely worried about Driskel running around on us because of the Oklahoma game. Trevor Knight is a very good runner and while he may or may not be as good as Driskel running the ball, he's pretty close. I think we'll do a good job keeping Driskel contained.

Knighten is a more explosive running QB than Driskel and we all saw how that worked out.

The odd thing this year is we have run very few plays that were designed runs for Driskel. In the past he played his best either running or throwing on the run. Pretty obvious he is not a drop back passer

Yeah it sounds like Florida's message board is normal. You have some crazies, you have those who are overly enthusiastic, the Debbie-downers and the level headed posters. Seeing the state of UF its what I would expect. Just like here on Volnation. Wonder what our board is like for opposing fans…

After watching that video, all I can say is 'geez, our locker room sure has changed its appearance a little since then.'

As someone who lives in Gainesville the Gator fans excitement about their team is at an all time low and I love it.

So the question being for our resident Gators...

Does Muschamp take the chance on tossing in an unproven freshman QB on the road, in Neyland where the noise is sure to be a factor, against our defense that hasn't slacked off the whole year and in a huge game for both teams with neither with any less to lose on the line?

Is this a huge error in the works by taking Driskel out and putting a freshman in and putting the future of the team and the coach on his shoulders?

Just looked at some boards, they one's saying the kill us are all saying they will run it down our throats.

Florida should have the mental edge in this game considering the way this series has turned in their favor. It's almost as if all that is required for them to win against UT is to grab their gear and exit the bus.

IMO, Tennessee owes Florida a major beat down. I say it's payback for the 1995 and 2007 blowouts. Not sure that is even a remote possibility at this time. If they can squeak out a 1 point win and break the streak, I'm fine with that

No they will not have a mental edge. Considering 55% of the players did not make the trip last year. Short Memories. I would say that CBJs has them ready for this game.
