The best thing about beating bama... Telling their fans to STFU.

Please make that a reality on Sunday

Thanks for doing this every week Chatt..It has become one of the few threads Vol fans can count on..I sure was sad to see Wes Rucker pop off like that..I for sure hadn't realized he felt that way..I have been around him numerous times where that question has come up with a different response..I hate it that he covers a team he doesn't pull for..Perhaps a change of scenery would be best for him..

Same ole same ole, Tennessee hasn't got a chance, never did. If Tennessee loses they're exposed, if they win the other team gave it away playing like crap. Tennessee can't get any credit usually from most. However coach Sumlin hinted it took all they had to beat Tennessee, and also some ESPN talking heads spoke saying how Tennessee showed in a loss what they hadn't shown all season in wins that they deserved to be in Atlanta.

Thanks Chatt! Two takeaways from that write-up:

1) Every team now notices how deadly Kamara is and how well he fits the offense. So, naturally Butch will start Hurd, give him 25 carries up the middle, and Kamara will touch the ball 3 times this weekend to the befuddlement of all Vol Nation.

2) Wes Rucker sucks. I follow him on twitter for Vol info, but he just seems like he almost relishes a TN loss. You shouldn't have to go on a board and clarify you aren't a Vol fan as if that protects him in some way. Besides, after covering a specific team for so many years, how can you NOT have some sort of allegiance to them or hope they win? I feel like it would be hard for me to cover a team, even if it was Ohio State or Florida, for years and not develop some sort of attachment to seeing the team win. Rucker is about the only UT beat writer I see that always has to clarify he isn't a UT fan as if it is a bad thing.

If Butch runs Hurd for 25 carries and Kamara is just an afterthought in this game and we get beat, then this fanbase will not forgive him for that.

That being said, I would love for nothing more than for Hurd to straight BALL out on Saturday. 162 for 2 touches. He's done so much for us and I want him to get his. But, if it's the same old 2 yard stumbles then Kamara should get the chance to take over.

An 81.5 YPC average??? Dang. That would be unreal! :)

I'm sure you meant like 20-25 carries.

But I agree. I want Hurd to ball out as well, but I just don't know if our OL can open holes big enough for him to burst through. I hope so!! I just know I will be seriously upset if Kamara does not get equal touches in the game with Hurd. Butch seems to rely on Hurd to shoulder too much of the load which is probably taking a toll on his body.

If I am Butch, I am starting Kamara, using him for RB screens and running outside the tackles, and then putting Hurd in for 3rd and short, 4th and short, and for plays were we have a 2 back set.

But Hurd is obviously going to start.

Um South Carolina was ranked in the top 10 when we beat them in 2013.

They have every right to be extremely confident. We are razor thin with injuries and Bama again seens like the real deal. I hope we blow them out of Neyland, but I feel the opposite is a likelier possibility.

Quit being scared
