Chuck Webb...smh. Young'uns on VN just don't understand how great that guy was. He may have been the best RB we have ever had. And that is saying a lot. That devastated me as a fan.

SC's is one of the weakest SEC fan forums that I've seen. Most opinions are not supported with facts, there is a lot of immature smack talk, everyone wants to sound like an expert and there is a general lack of self awareness among their fans. There is also too much unnecessary clutter.

I still have a tee-shirt somewhere. Tennessee orange with a black spider web on it and it says.... The Cob-Webb Offense.
I was so sad when he was injured, we had big expectations for our team that year.

I have always believed that we win a national championship well before 1998 if Reggie stays clean and Chuck stays healthy. Maybe if either of those things happens.

It was something to see. And hear...it made for some great John Ward calls.

I've said this for years. Lewis was amazing, Garner was lightning quick, Cobb a TD machine, etc, etc.....Chuck Webb was the best UT running back I've seen in my 40+ years as a Vols fan.

No doubt! I'd only up it to one of the best running backs in ALL of college football that I've EVER seen...especially for the short sample size we had.

And the CockyTalk forums are so weak, filled with moderators that act like adolescent girls. They get fired up if you don't kiss their team's collective ass.

I got booted from there several years ago for basically believing the Vols would win the game. So weak.
