The South Carolina message boards are a mess right now. Defeatism, coaching search, utter disdain for the Defensive Coordinator, Clemson hate, and a lack of excitement about this coming Saturday.
Here's what the Cock-faithful are saying about Saturday's match in Neyland.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
-The majority of their boards are comprised mostly of coaching rumors.
-They all generally believe the spread is too high, and they cover fairly easily.
-They really want a defensive coaching change. I saw the word "petition" flying around a few times. It's not just defensive performance, apparently defensive scheme is what they are so upset about.
-This theme is pretty prominent:
-Ouch:
-Talent synopsis from their board (per 247):
-They believe interim HC Shawn Elliot is going to go all in for this game. The opinion of their message boards is that Elliot really wants the HC job, and a loss here would seal his fate. A win, on the other hand, could potentially make him a strong candidate.
-Gamecock fan's opinion of Butch:
-More Butch (addressing a UT fan on their board):
-They have serious respect for Dobbs. Every game discussion includes several variations of "Dobbs is going to kill us" and "Dobbs is on fire right now."
-They feel they will slow our passing game, but the 3-headed monster will have a field day rushing (their rush defense is last in the SEC)
-It could be negative fanbase-related, but most of the posters I see talking about UT and Texas A&M seem to think we are better than A&M, for what it's worth.
-Just like every other year, the talks of how "Tennessee plays dirty" are floating around, bringing up the Lattimore hit.
-Speaking of Lattimore, not related to this game, but apparently they are bringing him in to help decide on who the new coach will be. A classy move IMO. Here's a link about it:
Marcus Lattimore will have role in finding new USC football coach | The State
-General score predictions are all over the place, but most have us winning by 10-12 points or so.
Honestly there is some chatter on their boards about this game, but it wasn't easy to find. Their boards are swamped with defeatism and coaching search talk.
Let's go out with another curb stomping this weekend in Neyland.

We're losing to UTjr and Florida no matter what we do, so we might as well go all in and hope for the best against Clemson.
Also wouldn't be a bad idea to have UA whip up some special jerseys for the game.
-Ouch:
Drew Lock replaced the suspended, douche-tastic Maty Mauk for his first ever SEC start, and ripped off another statistical gem vs USC. Since that time, he has not thrown another TD at all, and has yet to break 50% completions vs any other SEC defense.
-Talent synopsis from their board (per 247):
I did this with UK last week and found some interesting things about the collection of talent on UK's team compared to UT. Saturday night we saw what the numbers suggestion. One team completely outclassed the other talent wise. I thought I would take a look at USCe collection of talent and again some interesting things popped up. Here are the numbers: (ratings are the 247 composite)
UT's 1st string Offense: 89.99 2nd string: 89.94
USCe 1st string Offense: 84.40 2nd string: 85.68 (due to a highly rated backup OL)
UT's 1st string Defense: 87.81 2nd string: 89.03
USCe 1st string Defense: 87.92 2nd String: 87.78

Your Vols are not a great team...But you have a couple of good skill players... Butch Jones is an idiot with the x&o's but his teams plays hard on every down...I give him great credit for that..
-More Butch (addressing a UT fan on their board):
EVol, I like you...But i'll bet right now, Tenn has to fire Butch Jones after next season...Tennessee will never accept mediocrity...That's all Butch Jones can give you
