Tennessee was well prepared and played hard yesterday. Looked to me like most of our problems on the OL, of which we had many in the first half, were due to being outschemed rather than being pushed around. So give their coaching staff some credit. Jalen Reeves-Maybin was unaccounted for all. freaking. day. I blame Cristobal and Bobby Williams for that. UT was also rested and motivated, which showed in their physicality. I think they were as good a test as we could possibly have for LSU. LF7 is basically Hurd and Kamara combined, and Dobbs performed better than Allen or Lambert and made plays with his legs. I was all aboard the Butch Jones implosion train earlier but I still think he's a couple breaks from being in Florida's position in the East.

One of the best game plans I've seen a coach have coming off a bye week against Alabama is what Jones had Saturday. I thought running Dobbs early and not waiting until the pocket collapsed was a fantastic play calling from Tennessee. In truth Tennessee attacking the outside of the Alabama defense to soften up the middle of the Bama D was fantastic team scouting from Tennessee.
I would like to give credit to the Tennessee D too but I'm of the opinion that Kiffin's play calling at times is a little be suspect this year.

Props to UT on this game, they played lights out all game and absolutely came to win today. I'm just thankful we escaped this one with a W because we sure as hell weren't playing Alabama football and Tennessee was playing balls to the wall. I don't need that level of stress in my life you orange bastards. Good f***ing game.
