I would say more like 7-8 SEC teams would prosper in the B10. They are top heavy with a bunch of cupcakes far and wide

It really was. Those 3, and then often catching West teams like LSU, Ole Miss, A&M, and even Ark, on one of their UP years. But, we didn't whine, we just said, tee it up!

Check out Arkansas.

Our schedule has 3 upper tier foes (Bama, LSU, and Texas), 4 mid-tiers (Arkansas, USCe, Auburn, and A&M), and 2 bottom tiers (Vandy, Kentucky).

Arkansas has 4 upper tier (Georgia, Tennessee, LSU, and Texas), 4 mid-tiers (Mizzou, USCe, Auburn, and A&M), and 1 bottom tier (Vandy).

So they basically take our schedule, and replace Bama with Georgia ... Kentucky with Tennessee ... and Arkansas with Mizzou. Every one of those swaps is harder their way. Well, Arky-Mizzou is kind of a wash, but otherwise, their schedule is harder.

I haven't looked at any others, just knew the hogs would have one of the tougher schedules.

After seeing the full schedules now it's fairly obvious the permanent rivals means nothing in terms of strength of schedule. That schedule next year is probably going to be the toughest schedule we've ever had in our history.

True…we are clearly the biggest rival of both to their fanbases. Fortunately this is still an evolving process so after this window plays out we’ll get some changes…I like playing those close by annually so I’d favor adding at least one more annual rival but we could have 20 teams by then…

Your bottom tier team of Vandy destroyed a mid-tier team on their home field two weeks ago. I might flip those two.

I would say the "easiness" comes from all those home games. the road games are pretty peaches except maybe A&M

there are going to be so many HUGE home games next year. that's what I prefer make them come to OUR crowd!

Their schedule is harder because we can't play ourselves. Being a top tier team is the best way to get an easier schedule because you can never play yourself.

If you think of every team’s number 1 rival, they all got them. We got Bama. TSIO is religion in college football. Kentucky and Vandy got us…..it wasn’t about us, it was about them. At that point, we were full. No one else had us at #1, and no one born before 1990 had anyone but bama as ours. Gators and Dawgs are great games, and more rivals recently, but few would argue they top Bama (I’m married to a bama grad, and I can promise you nothing means more in our house)

We were one of a few programs that had multiple opponents consider us their biggest rival.
