If the Tenn. team that beat SC, ND, Stanford, Miss St. show up, they will do very well. If not, bye bye Lady Vols.

A 5 seed is impressive! Hope they take it and run with it. But I'm going to support the Lady Vols the way they play - I will cheer at the top of my lungs, but with a bag over my head! Go Lady Vols!!

Would like to go to the game, only 5 hours from Chattanooga, need to see what the dates are. Louisville is where my 4th great grandfather signed up to fight in the Revolutionary war with George Roger Clark at the Falls of the Ohio.

Lady Vols are a #5 seed in OKC against Dayton. I'm shocked they got that high with a 19-11 record. Thought they'd be a #7 seed. If they beat Dayton, they'll face #4 seed Louisville. Baylor is the #1 seed in that bracket. So don't expect the Lady Vols to make the "sweet 16."

U of L will have a good home crowd but I think we can give them a game and potentially beat them if the team that beat SC, ND, MS State shows up. My question is can they get zoned in to beat Dayton or will they treat them like Alabama. If so it will be an early exit and really amps up the pressure on CHW going into the 2018 season.

Interesting quote from Graham Hayes:

"No team has an odder resume than Tennessee. Wins against Mississippi State, Notre Dame, South Carolina and Stanford. Yet the Lady Vols aren't just unranked, they actually trail first round opponent and 12 seed Dayton among those receiving votes in most recent AP Top 25."

Now the "I love Holly and none of this is her fault" crowd has the perfect built in excuse: "This isn't the upset it seems. Dayton was actually ranked higher. This isn't an upset at all. In fact, we played 'em better than I thought we would. Dayton is a great team"

Didn't expect to be seeded as high as a five seed. Hope Holly has her team ready. I have no expectations though. I'll just wait and see how things play out in order to keep my sanity.

about a 5 seed. More evidence of how our fans now pretend we're Appalachian State.

have been so lowered by the Warlick years, that we have fans that find excuses for everything. Many still believe that Holly will improve as a coach--errr!

The good news is that we got a #5 seed when they could have easily received much worse. The bad news? I'd prefer ANY seed in the Lexington or Stockton region than a 5 seed in Waco.

They have to beat Dayton first round who is only playing two hours away. Then likely they have to play Louisville IN Louisville. Get by that game? Ok, then likely Baylor who spanked us earlier in the season in our gym. Then likely Miss State who also beat us and has played us twice and will be well prepared. Get by all those games? Welcome to the first final 4 in 10 years and your reward is a match-up with UCONN. I guess if we get to the championship game it finally gets a LITTLE easier with likely Notre Dame or South Carolina who we have beaten but certainly wouldn't be an easy rematch.

Point being that is NOT an easy road at all. Girls better bring the team that beat Notre Dame, South Carolina, Miss State, and Stanford and not the one that lost to 8 unranked teams. Just ONE night of that team and it could easily be season over round 1.

They will lose to Dayton.

Just thankful we are not playing Alabama 😜
We know how that would go!
They (Dayton) beat Texas AM by pressure defense and shooting threes.... doesn't sound like a good match up for us??? I'll tape the game and watch if we win !!!??? They are so hard to watch! Go Vols 😰😰😰

I called the 5 seed "impressive" because it did not seem that we earned it. We're not a little-engine-that-could team - we have the horses and the legacy, but we are not achieving at a corresponding level.

I expected them to be lower than a 5 as well but the selection committee, luckily, put weight on the wins over top 10 teams.

They still have a challenging road ahead but it could have been much worse.

But seeding does not mean much if the LVs don't string together some good performances. Hoping for a good NCAA run! Go LVs.

All they have to do to reach the Final Four is beat Dayton and ( if there are no upsets ),Louisville ( on Louisville home court ),Baylor, and Miss State.Easy as pie ......

This is toughest region period.Do I expect them to reach Elite 8 ......no I do not but would like to be surprised.
