I know that most of you think that nothing comes of this but the Alabama situation is very serious and much like the Reggie Bush incident at USC. Since USC took a major hit on Bush I think that the PAC12 and their partner, the BIG, will push for action against SEC teams. These other conferences have always suspected rampant cheating in the SEC and will not let this opportunity pass. In their view this would be the perfect opportunity to right the college athletic ship and return it to a credible state for real academic/athletic institutions. Those conferences would love nothing better than to see the SEC void 2 of those 7 National Championships.
The burr here is if they go after Bama it will affect Mississippi State and UT. Bama is notorious for displacing blame to other institutions in the conference. (See Auburn, 1957)
Another problem here is that it is not a "he said, she said" situation. The articles clearly document the evidence for the NCAA. Makes it a quick and easy for them. They will not have to go and investigate who contributed to a church building fund. The NCAA also has the advantage that this evidence was presented by a third party thus alleviating them from any kind of bias, unlike the Miami situation.
