PS Plus subscription will be required for online multiplayer on PS4. However it will not be required for the use of media services such as Netflix, You Tube, Amazon Video, Hulu, Crackle, etc.

Also, PS Plus will not be required for multiplayer on free 2 play-micro transaction based titles such as DC Superheroes Online, Fuse, etc.

The value of PS Plus is incredible! With all of the free games I've downloaded and played, it has more than paid for itself many times over! That's not even including things like cloud storage, discounts, automatic updates, etc.

Also, when you purchase a PS4, PS Plus subcribers automatically get Drive Club PS Plus edition free for download on day one! :rock:

Right now I realize neither. NBA2k14 will be out on the PS3 and GT6 is a PS3 game. I will just wait for metal gear solid 5.

I believe the PSN basic is just the same as Live Silver. Im glad they went this direction with their online services.............as long as the multiplayer stability improves with games like the show and COD.

As someone who pays for both it is not even close. PS+ is a joy to pay for in comparison. I was never a big fan of Sony, but the PS+ free stuff has won me over.

I'm going to buy both of these consoles and when i do, i will unbox them, hold them high in the air then throw them on the ground!! I'm not part of your system mannnn!! Sony or Microsoft can't buy me!!! The moral of the story is......

PS4, probably.

I've been Xbox all along, but the frequent internet connecting business and the fact that Microsoft is basically touting the One as a casual's entertainment and movie-watching console has made me think twice.

PS4 is also region free, which means I can get the games I want from Japan. Plus PS4 will have The Show.

I saw some people complaining about system sizes. I was like WTF, it sits on your entertainment/TV stand. What is the big deal?

Have we seen what they look like next to their predecessors? Both the original iterations and the later versions?

The PS3 and XBOX's were hulking beasts.

I am sure there are people with limited shelf space. Right now I would have to remove either the ps3 or xbox 360. Especially with these new systems not being backwards compatible, folks may want to hold on to their older systems.

But yeah, it's low on my list of concerns.

XB1: 34.3 x 26.3 x 8

PS4: 30.5 x 27.5 x 5.3

PS3 Slim: 29 x 29 x 6.5

XBONE in total volume is ~63% larger than PS4.

My 50 inch Plasma is in an alcove above my fireplace with a Direct TV Genie box, 2 speakers, an AppleTV, an Airport Extreme, and currently a PS3. So to say people are just finding something to complain about is stupid. Everything from how they sit to their size is important to anyone who is not going to put it in their bedroom.
