What needs to happen regarding Bama?

The perfect scenario is Clemson winning in a 10 OT game. How could they punish SMU for that?
They’ve said they wouldn’t punish teams anyways. That means if you’re in before the game you’re still in afterwards. They didn’t specify that it wouldn’t affect seeding. If Clemson wins by what the committee has said Clemson would be an at large team SMU would still be in and the big twelve champ would take the last bye. Oh yeah and Bama would be out of luck.

Win or lose this weekend, I got no issues with SMU staying in. Say what you will about the ACC, but they waltzed into the conference and steam rolled the whole eastern seaboard. Personally, I think they should have chased down the B12, but that's not on my plate.

Big XII wasn’t interested…because TCU didn’t want another team from the Metroplex. Really dumb. SMU belongs in the Big XII.

Well…that would strengthen South Carolina strength of schedule 🤔. And depending on how bad Clemson beats them…

it maybe be enough to drop SMU and put the Gamecocks IN!

Nobody not playing this weekend is moving up. Final! Over! Enjoy the taxslayer bowl. That said teams can move back. Bama better be an smu and Boise fan this weekend.

If it is a close loss then maybe. Problem is getting beat by Clemson is a "bad loss". SMU has the same problem as Miami, their best win is Louisville who is outside the top 25.
Being beaten by Clemson is not a “bad loss.” They’re 9-3 and were the first team out just a week ago.

Bama can lose the first round of playoffs to Notre Dame by 35 and the committee will still find a way for them to play in the finals

Based on the B12 this year, SMU would have steam rolled either conference

However, I am absolutely salty that a team that lost to Vandy and was embarrassed by a bad Oklahoma team is still considered a playoff team, purely because of their logo. We share those opponents, imagine how quickly Tennessee would fall off the playoff map if we had those outcomes.

Welcome to the brave new world of CFB. Might as well get used to it.

The logo rules.

what is crazy, 1st year teams in their new conference could sweep the power 4
Texas - SEC
SMU - ACC
Oregon - Big 10( or w/e it is now)
Arizona St Big 12

but i do think if Clemson wins it should drop Bama out, but its about $$$$ & bama will generate more revenue than SMU

The biggest bs of all here is if bama sneaks in at 12 they open up with Bakewell and if they win they’ll get to play sale creek

If Tennessee must play the Bucknutz, I hope we dot that eye!

The short answer is give the entire State to Mexico.
But idk if that’s fair for Mexico. They have their share of problems but inbreeding isn’t one of them.
Child brides either. Other option would be to expand Orange Beach north to Huntsville. I live in Middle Tn and an hour car ride to the beach would be super

What needs to happen regarding Bama? Maybe not marry your sister? Regular Dental checkups? Indoor plumbing?
