What makes Butch's hot seat cool for you?

Ending Bama's streak would go a long ways in winning the fan base over. Even though I give it less than a 1% chance of happening. That may even be too high!

No way John Currie/Tennessee will never look at him. Left Oregon with too many NCAA issues. Got them put on probation for 3 years right as he bailed on them. Reduced visits. Scholarships reduced etc.

When we play them it will be their 8th consecutive game without an off week...kind of like our schedule last year...

They have lost 5 LBs due to injuries...2 are out for the year so they are even with us on that count...

Still, they significantly out talent us...we will have to play an unreal game and need them to make mistakes...

We will be huge under dawgs but because I live in bama and I'm an older Vol Fan, it's THE game I want to win each year...and on that day we do updet Satan's boys, my little white bichon frise will be dyed Tennessee Orange and walked all over town...

I really dont get the Kelly obsession... If people think butch is an insufferable control freak, they would be blown away at Kelly's level. Nobody likes working with him or being coached by him.

Would you take a small probation for 10-2, 12-1, 12-2, 12-1....??

Also he is someone who has developed his talent very well, has recruited well, rarely gets out coached, Has great schemes/playbook and scores a lot of points (also people forget his D's were every bit as good as ours is now.......they held a great Auburn team to 22).

People think Chips teams sucked at D, but take a closer look..... 1st year average (PPG given up) 18, year 2 = 24, year 3 = 21, year 4 = 20.......not bad for teams averaging around 45 per on O.

Its time to open the wallet at UT and hire a big time coach.
Bobby Petrino and Chip Kelly would be available for the right price. BTW, Michigan pays $9 million a year and Saban makes at least $7million. Butch Jones makes $4million and is not worth $4.00. He is the worst coach in a game I have ever seen in 40 years of watching SEC football, period.
(I know Petrino just got hammered by Clemson, but he is an SEC caliber coach; Jones was a bad hire from the beginning and is NOT!) Also: UT, as valiant as the players themselves are, has zero chance of beating Ga unless Jones is unable to coach that day.

I voted 6-2 SEC record, but in reality, that just makes me know he can't get fired. At this stage, Butch needs to control all those games and not have any coaching decision questions. I think until he beats Florida consistently and challenges Alabama year in, year out I'll always question him.

And, ultimately, I don't think it's possible for him to lead this team to only one more loss this year.

I originally thought beat UGa when im saw the thread. However I took USC and Mizzou for granted. U.K. Or Vandy, probably both depending on LSU.

Mullen is not coming here. Butch deserves to be here and deserves our support a long as he is OUR coach. Let the people who can actually do something about it decide when we should move on.

The Poll question is as follows:

I voted for the option given that says
"...a win over LSU and finishing 6-2 in the SEC"

Of all the options given to pick, that was the only one that made any sense to me.

It is NOT..I repeat NOT...an opinion stating that we should beat USCe and Vandy...it is in fact the exact opposite--a clear statement that if (and when) he loses to SCe and Vandy--he should be fired!

Therefore--my reply was to say that only finishing 6-2 would cool off my desire to have CBJ fired...

Reading and comprehension are fundamental, my good sir!

Beat UF every year after year 3... so too late for that.

Win the east like Bama wins the west... so that's out.

Recruit like a mad man... pretty dang good there.

Not good enough though. It's year 5 and he is what his record says he is. Personally, I think we should start having higher standards. Let him go and back the dump truck full of cash up to a winners house.
