I do love a ribeye, but give me a porterhouse ,medium, with a huge tender side, or a prime rib with a little horseradish, yum. Also, my Vol friends, how do you like them cooked, and do you like a particular steak sauce. Most of my friends say it's an insult to the cook to put sauce on a steak, not me, I don't care how wonderful the steak is, give me a little Country Bob's on the side for dipping. YEAH!

Ribeye, medium, is my favorite.

2nd would be prime rib, also medium, with horseradish. No au jous.

New York Strip medium rare. Best cut for the money you can buy. If it's cooked correctly no sauce is needed. But a splash of A-1 ain't bad.
While a Filet Mignon is just over the top tender and juicy, it's too expensive. Rib Eye is over rated IMO.

How is Rib Eye overrated?

When we have guests at the house, my wife nearly religiously buys a Rib Roast and does it up about Medium rare and lets folks just slice off their own steaks. She ruins one half with some sort of Rosemary laden trash, but the other half is fantastic.

That said, I'm a Ribeye fan.

I like all steak, agreed some are better than others. I prefer my own 1 1/4" rib eyes I grill myself. Local butcher has some very good meat that makes all the difference.

I promise you wouldn't leave any on the plate. They also have a lumb blue crab and shrimp appetizer that is unbelievable.
Sounds great, I know I could eat the appetizers then the steak, WOW, I don't know.

Love a good 12 oz. Porter marinated in Worcestershire Sauce and various other herbs then cooked Medium Rare over a charcoal grill.

Straight up with a good lager.

Ribeye rare either on charcoal grill or a cast iron skillet in the oven. Nothing but a little salt and pepper and if it's still mooing all the better.

I truly hope no one on here posts they like it cooked past medium (and that's pushing it IMO). Nothing worse than seeing good meat wasted.
