What kind of coach is Butch Jones?

No, if many here get their way and VN helps oust Jones, he will go where he will win a NC for someone else.
Butch is going nowhere, and anyone calling for a change at this point is an absolute idiot in my opinion. This is what we expected 2 yrs ago and we are on track. In 2 more yrs this team will be not just competitive, but dominate. After this yr, I believe the bricks are in place, just have a little patience. Good things will come to those who wait.

We need OTs in the worst way and the only one we currently have coming in is a lightly recruited 3 star who is not playing for his high school team this year due to a torn Achilles. He made a big mistake putting all his eggs in the Drew Richmond basket.

So make some 5 stars an offer they cant refuse

Butch Jones is a great coach...he is accomplishing things one thing at a time which is what you have to do to build anything...wheather it be a house or a championship football team...people have got to give him time to keep recruiting and build this team...our o-line is bad and weak and though we have two talented freshman on it their just not strong or conditioned as some of the d-lineman that their facing...if you can't run the ball against SEC teams it will haunt you....Dooley hurt us in 2012 by not recruiting any offensive linemen...at least butch isn't getting blown out in these games..give him time to work and build this team and the wins will come people. Defense has improved tremendously and offense will too with recruiting.

I pretty much disagree with you on your stance about CBJ, but I will 110% agree with you on the last statement you made here. I stated in Richmond's thread the day he committed to Ole Miss that CBJ had made his first big recruiting mistake of his tenure here. You can't blame him for going all out on Richmond, but you better be damn sure you land a guy that you throw all your chips at, especially when you slow ball some really good prospects in the process. This is where a great recruiting OL coach would have really helped, something we don't currently have.

Are you even dumb enough to believe this?

Butch wins zero national championships unless he learns how to coach against the big boys like Muschamp, Franklin, Dooley, Pinkel, and all those other great coaches that have beaten him.

God, he's lost to some of the worst coaches.

He could be like Rich Rod who got ran out at Michigan but just beat OR. My main complaint is he seems inflexible that or Bajakian is not sure which.

CBJ stated on the Butch Jones Show a few weeks ago that he's "a wide receivers coach." He made this statement after they played a piece on CZA.

As I recall, Fulmer owns one, but VN and the powers that be didn't think that was good enough either. SOOOOO here we are.

Auburn fired a coach TWO years after winning a national title. Doesn't look like it hurt them.

To me, he is the type of coach that convinces eveyone to play for a common goal.He is neither defense or offense coach. I would say he is a great salesman that can make people believe in a dream and has the ability to bring people on board. We are all hurt over this loss but we played 22 freshman and 2 of them was only 17 years old. People have a tendency to hype themselves up and then when our team performs the way we was predicted then all hell breaks loose and they turn on a good coach.
according to the UT sports information department, of the 36 true freshmen, 57% are 18 years old and 43% are 19 years old...a couple turning 20 before end of season. there are no 17 year old freshmen playing for VOLS. am assuming they all have grown two of 'em. Butch will ratchet up the expectations as season moves along.

it will take 2-3 more recruiting classes for butch to have all his players---you can't tell about his coaching until then.

2-3 more classes? That's entirely too long. Look how fast some other programs can turn around. I'm not suggesting one is enough, but four or five years for goos results. Cmon
