Is he graduating in December so he can be on campus htis spring?

Yea and his parents are moving to Knoxville with him. Not gonna be any home sick BS with this kid! He said in a recent interview he is gaining weight and with him being an EE I think he has a shot at starting as a true frosh!!

Pocket passer for sure. He's not going to beat you with his feet. He'll beat you with his accuracy, arm, decision making, ability to read defenses...pro-style.

Peyton nor Brady beat anyone with their feet. Neither will Bray

I watched him on youtube and he seems to move around the pocket pretty well for someone 6'6"! He doesnt run well outside the pocket!

that is the only thing that really bugs me about him. he doesn't appear to be mobile at all, and without a great offensive line that could be a huge problem.

I watched the Elite 11 video on ESPN about a month ago and Bray was a main talking point during the entire broadcast.
During the breakdown and eval process one of the camp directors/scouts said Bray was a "10 year NFL backup at worst".
Not sure how prone to hyperbole this guy was, but that is a pretty good forecast if you ask me.

If Bray is close to Stephens going into the fall, he will be the starter. The reason being with Stephens it is like JC, you have 1 year. The upside to Bray is you would see him improve and play for 3 to 4 yrs.

I would much rather have a QB that isn't as mobile but is deadly accurate and has a strong arm such as Manning(hopefully Bray) than someone with less arm that will pick up a few yards here and there with their feet (such as scroggins or boyd).

Scroggins is playing very well this year throwing, but yeah I totally agree with you.

Our offense is a pro-style. Bray is by far the best fit out of any. Can't teach accuracy. Bray is as good as it gets this year.

If Kiffin wants him....that's all I need to know. Proud to have Tyler and his entire family moving to Knoxville....can't wait to see what he can do once this staff coaches him.

I just watched that youtube video. The kid looks good. Cant wait to see him in Orange.

I gotta ask though.....can we recruit some of those WRs? They were catching everything he was throwing at them..lol

I dont think we will have enough depth for him to redshirt.....cant go into the season with only 2 QB's on the depth chart. He enrolls early, and he will EASILY be twice as physically talented than any other QB on our roster next year. With spring practice to help him pickup the system and gain little weight, I wouldn't be surprised at all if he is our starter next year.

As much as I hope Bray is already as good as you seem to think... what exactly are you basing these comments on? Stephens has elite arm strength. He has a year in the system. He has both real and mop up PT in the SEC which NO camp or HS competition can come close to simulating.

Between the two, Stephens will have the stronger arm. Stephens is physically stronger by a wide margin due to 3+ years in a college S&C program. Stephens is heavier and only 2" shorter. Bray has good feet compared to HS Sr's... not compared to a guy who has been playing under SEC caliber coaches for 3 years. Bray may be more accurate but that tends to diminish as defenders get faster.

I just don't see how you can claim he will "easily be twice as physically talented" as Stephens. If Bray is good enough as a true Fr to beat out a RS Sr with SEC caliber talent then we'll all be thrilled... but count me among the those who'll wait for the real proof.

I find it hilarious that some people think Tyler will be starting over Nick Stephens next year.

IMO it will be Stephens job to lose next season rightfully so.

I think Bray will be in great hands. Seeing what this staff has done with Crompton leaves me to think QB will not be a problem while they are here. They know how to evaluate talent and get the best out of it. Qb play will be great for years to come.
