What is YOUR record with the Vols?

Way too many games to try or want to figure out. Basically, whatever their home record is for 1996 - 2019.

I wish I would have kept better track, I can't remember all of them. Florida is easy, I've been to every home game since 2000 except Covid year (2-8). Been to quite a few Georgia, Bama (2000 was the first win I saw in person at Neyland), and South Carolina games as well. The ones I remember vividly are the weird ones, great ones, or really heartbreaking ones. Like Rutgers jumping out to a 14-0 lead before we blew them out (also had one of the worst hangovers ever during this game lol). And the Arkansas 7,214 OT game that ended at like 1:00 am. The first game I took my folks to was the Kiffy blowout of UGA in 2009, that was a blast. And that Butch game when we had like 5 INTS in the first quarter, I think that was Western KY? 2004 and 2016 Florida, obviously. 2018 blowout against Bama was miserable, I was surrounded by Gumps in the South Upper deck.

The really rough ones were Oklahoma, BYU, and Pitt. Felt like we blew it in every one of those games. Especially Oklahoma, Butch had me believing we were back. Neyland was amazing that day. Just constant sustained noise.

Well I started watching when I was 10, 1985 through the present. I've been lucky to see the good times. Watching tony Robinson beat Alabama. Watching Tennessee beat Miami in the sugar bowl. The come back at notre dame. Winning the BCS multiple sec championships Love Tennessee football been part of my life for a long time.last few years have really been frustrating. But I feel we are on the right track. I believe we are seeing daylight.

As an extension of the other thread discussing our most heartbreaking losses, it made me think back to all of the games I've attended over the years, which got me thinking, what is MY record with the Vols? Below is every Vols game I've attended, and the results. I know it would take some older fans days to put their list together, but here's mine.

My record with the Vols is 12-5. What's yours?

Im fairly certain i cant get this completely accurate but my first game was Ole Miss in '89 whn Chuck Webb set the rushing record that stands today...so i got off to a good start..

Well… I’ve attended over 250+ since 1980 and have every ticket stub to show for it, this could take me a minute to figure out 😂

My first game was UT-Army in 1965. Been going to games, home and away since then. Too many to count. School years '75-79. Watched a couple of games in the Rose Bowl against UCLA.

Y'all remember our big victory over Clemson? I was in high school. Took this picture, Condredge passing:

And them punting.

I won't bother to list them. First game was 1965. Bought season tickets in 1976. Last Tennessee game I attended was 2016 at Texas A&M. Gave up last of my season tickets before 2020 season.

My record based on attending games is 234-97-9

6-0 but only have been to two SEC games. ‘19 Carolina, and ‘16 UF. Funny thing is I been to about 10 UT b-ball games and they have never lost.

I've always been a numbers guy and track all kinds of things. However, this one is important to me and I have been keeping up with a running total for about 30 years now. I just updated the spreadsheet to include my attendance last year and this year through yesterday's win over Vandy. :)

During this time I have lived in six other states than Tennessee. That's why I didn't go to too many away games. It was a long trip to make the home games. Neutral site games means games that are not bowl games, like playing Ole Miss in Memphis or the game at Bristol. First game attended was Tennessee Tulane in 1967. I've had season tickets since 1976 when the South End zone upper deck opened. I've had many opportunities to move but those are my seats and is home sweet home to me. Lot of changes in my life but that is a constant. One upon a time, my win percentage was about 77%. You know the rest of the story.

GBO!!

Personal Attendance Record
Location Wins Losses Ties Total Win Percentage
Home 229 84 6 319 72.73%
Away 13 9 1 23 58.70%
Neutral Sites 4 2 6 66.67%
Bowl Games 11 6 17 64.71%
Total 257 101 7 365 71.37%

Overtimes 6 5 11 54.55%
Longest Winning Streak 23 (1996-1999)
Longest Losing Streak 4 (1988); ('18-'19)

Mine is damn good. Then again, for a very long time I only had time/money to go to early/cheap games. Seen us beat Kentucky twice, Vandy twice, V Tech and a handful of wins vs inferior opponents. Lost to UCLA.

Love this thread. Let me think. (It helps to look at a seating chart to see where you were sitting for each game if you don't have the same seats each time.)

2001 vs Memphis W 49-28
2002 vs Wyoming @ The Coliseum W 47-7
2003 vs Marshall W 34-24
2003 vs Duke W 23-6
2005 vs UAB W 17-10
2006 vs Air Force W 31-30
2007 vs South Carolina W 27-24 OT
2007 vs Arkansas W 34-13
2007 vs LSU @ SEC Championship L 14-21
2009 vs W Kentucky W 63-7
2010 vs Oregon L 13-48

<Moved to Indiana>

2011 vs Montana W 42-16
2015 vs Western Carolina W 55-10
2016 vs Florida W 38-28
2021 vs Purdue @ Music City Bowl L 48-45

So, that makes me 12-3 at UT games
That Music City Bowl really hurt.

This would be a good off season project for me. It would take a lot of time and research I think to be accurate. I'm not sure I can remember which ones I attended and which ones I thought I did because of John Ward. My first live game was a loss to USC in 1980 17-20. My last was a loss to Purdue in 2021 45-48. It's the in betweens I have trouble with.....

I guess I'm 2-1. First game was against Ole Miss in 1973 in Jackson, Miss. We lost 28-18. Next game was at Vandy in 1992, we won and the last I attended was the MCB in 2016 against Nebraska, won that one also.

Now watching on tv (those televised) has been about everyone of them since about the Orange Bowl against Oklahoma on New Years Day 1968. Lost that one 26-24.

I was a student during the Butch Jones years, so I was usually not enough of sound mind to remember what games I went to and the result of said games
