Blessed to say I’ve been to too many to even try to go back and do this. I went to my first game as a five year old in 2001. If I had to guess, my record is around .500 or so, mostly due to the true dark ages of 2010-2014.

Way too many games to go back and count since 1976, but my record was pretty stellar home and away up until around 2003, it has been far less than stellar since then, as is everyone else’s that attend regularly. Seriously hoping to get back on the right side of things beginning this season.

So that's 25-14. 64%. Not too bad.

I just added it up. My record is 400-211-10 (.652).

Haha!

I didn't attend all those games. That's every game since I became an active fan back in 1970 or so.

I actually haven't been inside the stadium for that many games in my life. First, because as a kid in middle Tennessee, it wasn't easy to get to games. Then from the age of 17 on, as a West Point cadet and then soldier for 30 years, I was almost never free to get home to Tennessee during football season. So I count them all, whether I was in Knoxville or not. LOL, sue me!

I honestly can't remember how many I've attended. They're few and far between, though. We beat Penn State in ~ 1970 ... we beat Georgia in '09. We lost another one to Georgia a couple years after that. I know I'm missing one other from like 15-20 years ago. Pretty sure it was a win. And we lost to Arkansas a few years back when I took my mom and dad to the game shortly before my dad died, but we had to leave in the 1st quarter (health problems, you know). So I don't count that one against myself. Heh. So I'm probably something like 3-1 lifetime if you only give me credit for putting my butt on the bleachers.

But I count them all.

Go Vols!

I started going to Neyland with my dad in the mid 60s, and last game I went to was in 2016, and many in between. I can't remember all the games, but it seems like 70s, 80s, and 90s
had much more wins than the ones I've been to since 2000. The OT loss to Oklahoma in 2015 really hurt my feelings! Go Big Orange in 2021!

I have never been to a game live that the football or basketball Vols lost, and there have been many. None since 2006 though.
On the flip side, every Lady Vols game I have attended, they lost.

Let's see. . . . Started in the Dickey years, had to skip a much of the Majors years due to Marine Corps responsibilities, Season Ticket holder in the Fulmer years, pretty much skipped the Kiffen, Dooley, Butch and Conehead years due to some overseas work. 58-12 and two ties. Bowl games, not so good. . . 4-5.

I'd have to go back to '88 and at least 5 games a year between '96 and '08. I'd imagine it's somewhat high, but probably somewhere in the 65-75% range and continually going down over the years.

As an extension of the other thread discussing our most heartbreaking losses, it made me think back to all of the games I've attended over the years, which got me thinking, what is MY record with the Vols? Below is every Vols game I've attended, and the results. I know it would take some older fans days to put their list together, but here's mine.

2004 @South Carolina W
2005 South Carolina L

Pretty sure I’m undefeated. As a kid my dad took us to one game a year and it was either Vandy or Kentucky depending on the year. I’ve seen the Vols beat Georgia Tech and Ole Miss and maybe half a dozen scrimmage games against teams like Southern Miss, UAB, etc.
