What is YOUR record with the Vols?

This is a pretty cool thread. I went back and looked at mine. My first game was 2001 against Vandy, I was a student from '04-'07 seasons and have had season tickets starting with '08 season; and I've been to a total of 119 UT games.

Overall UT is 68-51 in games I've attended. Home record of 54-29, away record of 12-19, and 2-3 at neutral sites.

So you joined Volnation in 2004 but went to your first game in 2008??! And you've been on here for over a decade and only been to 4 games?!?! I'm curious to know your story. How'd you become a Vols fan?

I don't have data...:dunno:
I wish I did - My first game was when I was an 8 year old - 1965 UT vs. Army. (First time they ran through the T).

My Dad loved the Vols, and we came up (from Huntsville) to many games during my high school years. Holloway was from here, and it was great watching him play. Started at UT in '75, Dad bought season tickets in '77 and they have stayed in the family until Mom passed. Now both of my kids are at UT and I go a lot.

So I'm guessing I've been to over 200 games. My best memory was the '82 Bama game. Didn't sit with my folks, but spotted my 70 year old Dad running up and down the field after the goal posts came down. Dang.. I never made it out on the field, but he found a way!

That must mean you go to big games. I'd sometimes rather have gone to some big games and seen close games with losses, then watch us beat up on a cupcake almost every time. Big games are too $$$$$$$$$ for me tho.

I live over a thousand miles away. Quality over quantity.

Looking back on my phone, I've attended 17 games in which we went 11-6 in that stretch, with 2 losses to Florida, one to Candy (ugh), 2 to Auburn, and 1 to Georgia.

Couldn't go to any last year due to temporarily living elsewhere, but I'll be back in Neyland for a few more this year!

Side note: UT hasn't lost a home game vs Vandy that I haven't been to in 30+ years. But they're 0-2 in ones I've attended.

I'm pretty sure it's 22-18-2. Yes, I am old and I was in the Pride of the Southland marching band in 1974 when the two ties occurred, UCLA 17-17 in the opener (the game when Condredge Holloway came back from the hospital to lead the Vols to the tie) and Vandy 21-21 (Bill Parcells was an assistant coach on that Vandy team). My first UT game was the 1966 Gator Bowl when we beat Syracuse 18-12. That Syracuse team had RB Larry Csonka and Floyd Little. Somehow, we beat them.

Born and raised in San Diego. Mom's side all went to UT(I'm talking 5 of my great aunt's and uncles, plus my Grandma and Grandpa) and my mom was born in Chattanooga. I was raised watching Vols and Chiefs football growing up. Being on the west coast, the Vols don't make it out here too often and rarely play a bowl game out here. I am now older, out of college and able to afford to travel to some games now.

Also my brother moved to Jacksonville(he just retired from the navy) and so I can now go out and visit with family and be with a few hours drive of a game.
I am actually spending part of my honeymoon to go to the Florida game this year.
