With all the he's gone, he's staying, he'll coach the rest of the season, etc, how many will brave the cold to attend the next home game?

We are on the fence about attending since they scheduled it for 7:30pm. HC is the one game each year we take our young girls to but now I am not sure it is worth it for a night game. If we do attend, we will probably just say for the first quarter, maybe to half time.

Overall, probably 85k

As long as people go don't expect Currie to make a change.

People are happy shelling out $$ at games he won't make a change.

If he cared about Tennessee getting better at football he would have already fired Butch.

He is clearly $$ driven here.

Can't say I'm going to support the players when the coach is hurting the players development.

I want him gona as much as the next guy, but firing Butch right now does nothing more than pacify a whiny fan base.

There’s way too many people who ‘support the team’ and go to watch the $h** show no matter what. News flash - you’re not supporting the team when you continue to ensure Jones’ job security by attending games. The players deserve a coach that teaches them how to be better football players than the day they arrived on campus. They don’t have that right now and the AD seems perfectly ok with that because the fans are also (by spending money on tickets) accepting the mediocrity.

I don't concern on the whiny fan base.

Getting hammered for incompetence in the media non stop on the University, administration, and coaches. Is the biggest concern.

It's putting in all minds that are not Tennessee fans that Tennessee is a joke of a school.

Currie is damanging Tennessee's brand leaving him in charge.
But fans are still paying $$$ to the school so that has no effect on his bottom $

We talking paid attendance or butts in seats?

The announced, paid attendance will probably be about 80-85k. That is what paid attendance was during the second half of the 2012 season when the fans gave up on Dooley, and I expect this will be similar.

Butts in seats could be as low as 60k. I think you'd be hard pressed to ever have attendance much below that because 1) there are some fans who will come no matter what and 2) people who don't come to many games and families, especially families with young kids, like to come to games like this because the environment isn't as rowdy and the partying/drinking/tailgating scene is nowhere as intense.

I know people who love football but don't necessarily come to games because they "don't like big crowds" (IMO, that's one of the reasons you go to the game, but whatever floats your boat). They like coming to games like this, so that keeps attendance from being something horrendously bad like 40k.

90,000....I will make the 3 hour trip and plan to be there. Stay home if you don't want to go.

I am with you. We will drive 5 hours to enjoy Market Square Friday, campus Saturday, and Neyland at night. Same as we do 7 weekends a year. I can always complain the other 40 plus weekends a year

I’ll be there. I made the investment in season tickets, and I love my team, and I’m going to support them regardless of who the coach is. Also, I can think of 1,000,000 other things that I would rather not be doing on a Saturday afternoon in the fall then being at Neyland Stadium.
But the coach can see himself out the door As far as I’m concerned. :)

I have missed 3 home games since 2001 and if CBJ is coach I’m not going back to a game. Our fanbase is the most underserved in the country for the support we give to the university.
