I would like to know how your gameday prep and tailgating will go down this Saturday. As for me, I wake up to two Blue Tick Coonhounds wrestling on the bed and licking my face. So once the wife and I are up I go to the IPOD and select my playlist of "gameday songs". Mostly consisting of anything Tennessee such as the Osborne Brothers, Charlie Daniels etc. and my favorite National Athem solos from Leanne Rimes and Whitney Houston. Then it's on to the closet to get my Tennessee jersey and hat. Once dressed I roll out the charcoal grill onto the pool deck to get ready to grill the chicken wings. I turn on the TV and get a beer from the kegerator (yes it's only 9:30am) and dip my toes in the pool. By kickoff we are reallly fired up and raising he11. During the game, everytime we score we hit Rocky Top on the ipod and sing as loud as we can and the hounddogs sing along too. What fun! how about you?

That's the best rendition of the National Anthem I've ever heard. Jennifer Hudson's this year at the Super Bowl is another great one. As for gameday this Saturday, probably get up at 8ish, head to my friend who lives off of White Ave and tailgate till 11ish and then head to the game.

Yeah those are good.

Another good one was Chris Daughtry. He was the guy from American Idol that finished second a few years ago that should have won it.

1- I listen to college football talk on the radio until the games come on at 11am.

2- I am usually handicapping games for the day, although I prefer to already have that done, but I usually wait until the last minute. I usually do the early ones in the morning then the later games as I am watching the early games.

3- Turn on games at 11am.

4 -Drink beer.

5- Watch games.

repeat steps 4 and 5 until bedtime

Wake up Sunday and repeat process for NFL :)

I think steps 3 thru 5 are mandated in my house. Plus the wife can do her share of 12 oz. wrist curls too.

It used to consist of me being on my knees praying to God that we didn't lose to UCLA and Wyoming. Hopefully I will be able to enjoy the games from the recliner more this year.

I will be listening on the radio on the way home from the hospital with my firstborn. She'll be wearing a Tennessee toboggan and will be going straight to the kiddie swing so daddy can watch the game! :)

wake up, get showered, get my gameday gear on, put the breakfast casserole in the oven to heat up, crack open a beer, eat, fire up the music then pregame show, have the ribs smokin, drink more beer, yell at the other teams fans, have another beer, enjoy ribs, go to the game

Congratulations on the bundle of joy. Our first born is 7 weeks old. His name is Peyton. We got the jerseys out on Saturday preparing for gameday.

Definitely Ribs! I call up my dad and friends and get ready for the game. I listen to the Osbourne Bros. all day long myself. Watch and listen to pregames. Put the flag up out front!!

on home game days:
I wake up wherever I am. Sometimes it's my own bed, sometimes it's my own couch, sometimes it's someone else's bed, sometimes it's someone else's couch. I hydrate with the quickness and hurry into the shower. I change into my orange as fast as possible and zoom to the fort to whatever friend is having the pregame. I proceed to super CHUG whiskey and watch pregame shows until we march to the stadium to scream like banshees. I never stop screaming and jumping. Even if I'm hoarse I still scream because I want to do whatever I can to help. After the game I talk hoarsely with my friends about the game and other games while we drink more whiskey and watch other games.

on away days:
I wake up wherever I am and get hydrated and get into my Lazyboy. I turn on my 65 in HD and watch pregame shows while I chug Powerade and water and get the grill ready for wings or burgers or whatever the hell I'm going to cook. I invite people over if they want to watch the game and I sit there until I've seen every game that I want to watch. Then I head out to celebrate or drown my sorrows.

on bye weeks:
I cry.

Thank you very much. I talk big, but let's be honest, the odds of me being engaged in the football game with that new tax exemption sitting there are slim and none! :)

Thanks. I'm going to sleep for the next three days because as I understand it, you no longer sleep with children.

To beat all, with a boy I would only have had to worry about one ______, now I'm going to have to worry about all _______.

Mods be gentle, all good clean fun!!!:p

This Saturday, as in every Saturday there is a home game, we park downtown (for FREE) about 3 hrs before the game. After we walk to campus we usually hang around Volunteer Village, and get something to eat, and then go get a place to watch the Vol Walk. After that, we go over and watch the band march into the stadium, and then after that we go on inside to our seats and enjoy all the pregame stuff. Other times we just go on inside the stadium right after the Vol Walk:dance2:

My gameday:

I live out in Tellico Village, so on Friday night I'm gonna head down to Sutherland and stay the night with friend and his brother so I can wake up early and take the quick drive down to campus. We're gonna hit up the earlier opening liquor store, grab a handle of Jack Daniels Single Barrel, mix some stiff whiskey/coke drinks in our UT sippers, and head down for the VOL WALK!! All the while, our lady friends are going to stay at the house rubbing down ribs and throwing them on the grill, and all the fixins'.

By the time we get off the strip and back to their house on Sutherland, the food should be ready and it'll be around noon.... 20 minutes till kickoff!! At that point, hopefully the 3 of us would have finished off the Jack and we'll start in on our case of Heineken.

The only thing we'll be missing is John Ward calling the game.... I'd rather listen to the TV broadcast than Bob Kesling.

Mine- Wake up with an eye opening shot of Jack. Throw on UT trunks and jump in the pool. I take my last swim every year on the 3rd Sat. in October(no heater). Float around watching game day and having a few cold ones or Jack & Ginger. Crank up the grill and start cooking. I try to prep a head of time something that is related to the opponent. I always order gator for Florida. I had a whole pig for Arkansas, corndogs for LSU, or I throw on ribs. Go put on a Jersey, get the kids in there orange, keep drinking beer and Jack until game time. Sometimes the kids go upstairs because of the yelling. My wife yells and cusses as much as I do during a game. She couldn't stand Fulmer ball. If Vols win, I party the rest of the night watching more games. If they lose, I drown my sorrows watching more games. I always make at least one game a year, and that is a whole different story . This year UCLA game. I can't wait for Saturday.

Wow, sounds very familiar minus the kids part. God I love Tennessee football. I thinks our wives would be a hoot to watch cussing and yelling in the same room. Hilarious!
