Maybe we're both partly right. I think Hamilton & Evans were the starting ILBs and Jennings & Miller the starting OLBs in base D (when we play 2 OLBs). Amirite?
Good info. Thanks. I forgot about Evans playing some outside in the nickel. It may be one of those debatable things about what constitutes "starting."
But having watched the game and checking the participation reports to confirm (because my eyes can certainly deceive me), Bama's base against Florida St was a 3-3-5. I say that was our base because we were in it on more than 60% of all defensive snaps. Jennings and Evans started on the outside, with Hamilton in the middle. The first substitution at LB was Holcombe for Evans. Lewis came in when we brought in an OLB in place of the star, and he also subbed for Jennings as well. When Lewis first came in he lined up inside with Evans outside. Wilson was also a sub for Jennings and Evans. Miller didn't see consistent snaps until after Jennings went out.

Still significant to lose those two for the season. Above all, I feel bad for them; Francois too -- heck I hate to see any player seriously injured.
Lewis and Miller did not start. Jennings and Evans started, both will be back.
What games? Neither had played anything more than mop up duty until last weekend.
Based upon?
Link to these evaluations?
Evans started at ILB, not OLB.
The games Miller, a senior., has played. Lewis is a soph with a lot of snaps including A-Day to see his talent.
Based on the player running faster and changing direction more quickly.
