What is up with VOL fans?

If the offensive line was not as good as they are Ainge would have been fair at best this year. Every time someone would get within 5 yards of him he would panic and force throws and loose games. I can't wait to get a QB who doesn't mind taking a hit and stand under pressure.

just a few things from what i saw at the game...although not many points in the first half, Ainge did a much better job of just throwing the ball away when there was no one tothrow to, unlike the 2nd half where he forced the ball and yes we saw the results...i'm not going to bash Ainge because i believe without his play throughout the ENTIRE season we would be nowhere close to 9 (medicore wins)...but don't forget about our db's that got torched on a touchdown pass that left them looking stupid...2 missed fg's and going for it on 4th and ? instead of getting 3 with 6:42 left to play was a bad decision...so the chances were there and it wasn't just Ainge...oh and did anyone else see Casey Clausen besides me and pinto...what an arrogant ******.

A used to think a lot of the same sentiments as the thread starter when I first posted here but after time you realize that people are just posting their frustrations when something they are very passionate about goes wrong. Everyone here knows the players work hard, try their best, and feel worse than anyone when they lose but it's nice to vent sometimes. Win the bowl game with a solid performance on both sides of the ball and everyone will be talking about how tough this years team was and how great next year's team will be. Lose the bowl game and ... Losing is not a option! GO VOLS!

Seriously, I have read posts herer for months but this is my first post. Good Riddance to Erik Ainge? Why? Because he committed to A team all the way across the country when he could have gone anywhere? Yes, I agree, his mistakes last night cost us, but some of you seem to think it mattered more to you than him. That is ridiculous. If Fulmer/Cutcliff thought Crompton could have played better, he would have been in. They see these guys in practice everyday. We may be some of the worst fans in the country. You really think if some star recruit asked Ainge or Clausen if they should come here they would say yes? There is more hate for those 2 guys than for Spurrier around here. Now Foster cost us the game because he looks over his shoulder? He looks over his shoulder because he know he will get caught by CBs and probably doesn't want to get stripped from behind. If fans keep treating all these players like crap when they don't perform as well as your dad told you that you did in pop warner, we will stop getting recruits. Have some loyalty to the team. Ainge did his best, was it good enough? No, but he came here, worked hard and tried. Apparently the staff felt he gave us our best shot. To be honest, if the line had opened more running lanes, Ainge would not of been forced into obvious passing situations. If you think that his performance some how bothers you more than him you are delusional. Foster has been real good for us and will be our brightest hope on O next year. No, he doesn't have break away speed, but he is good. Our defense hit as hard as any team I have seen this year, our coverage was better and our O line is great at pass blocking, improving on the run. We got to the SECCG with a team of inexsperienced receivers and 2 freshmen in the secondary. I really think if we won a NC, some of you would be critics of the way the players won. We still have a bowl and need to get a little Big 10 revenge. Calling out Ainge or Foster doesn't help.
i don't know if i agree with everything you said, but that's funny right there.:eek:lol:
