A world where Alabama is unbeatable, and a world where Tennessee can't win an SEC game. This world is a cold, nasty place my friends. Is there any hope?

I believe so---it's always darkest before the dawn and right now we are at a low point. I think things will get turned around.

Honestly, our "fans" have lowered their expectations so much and the powers-that-be seem to prefer inertia to progress, I wonder if UT will ever be back to where it was the previous 100 years (i.e. right at/near the top of the SEC). I mean, when Alabama was down with sanctions, coaching turnover, etc. I never heard Alabama fans defending their coaches with "well, it's just that it's too hard to win at Alabama" or "Well, if we give him 5 years.."

I don't believe it will ever get better. Alabama will win 20 straight national titles. and we'll never win a big game again. Pretty much what I'm starting to thinl.

I'm 18 and come from a family with a consistent record of longevity, but even that provides me with no solace as I feel as if we will never again win a meaningful game in my lifetime.

The Gruden laughs at this world, takes a shower, and puts on a jacket. The Gruden is good. Know a new life through his his embrace. There is hope.

Life is all about learning to live with the constant ups and downs.

Tennessee has been down before many times and we always rise back up to the top.

In my 50 years of being a Vols fan I've never seen our program and player roster be so totally destroyed as I saw it before CDD got here though.

I'd really enjoy stomping the crap out of laMe kiffScum for forcing so many good players to leave Tennessee because he said they didn't fit his system...Grrrrr.

I do see improvements since CDD got here and I knew our Defense was going to get burned alot and not be very good this season but I never dreamed our D would be this bad or that our kids couldn't learn the basics by this point in the season.

My only hope is that IF, and a big IF right now, if CDD is kept for 1 more year he'll do as good a job fixing our Defense this offseason as he did last off season fixing our running game which is excellent this year.

I would really like to know for certain if it's our kids aren't very smart and it takes them alot longer to learn things or if it's the coaches and how they're trying to teach our kids.

I know alot of good football players aren't the smartest students in the class most of the time but I really expected our Defence to be farther along at this point in the season that what I saw against Troy today.

I really have to wonder if we can win out this year and I wonder even more if we can win in a bowl game.

VFL...GBO!!!

These things run in cycles. Alabama has a great, proven coach and are rolling. We do have more of a challenge now recruiting because of how well the programs of Alabama, Georgia, and Florida are.
