What is the story about Dooley stiffing the Caravan event in the 'boro

Coaches are only contractually obligated to do two appearances in the year like this. Maybe he had other reasons he couldn't make it that are more important than the Caravan in Murfreesboro, like bigger markets/fan bases in other counties like Shelby, Davidson, Hamilton, etc... If you're that upset, you could always have come to the one in Chattanooga. It was great tonight. We had Dooley and Summitt with about 1500 fans. :)

If this "thread" survives, I'll be really surprised.....

I heard he had a relief event for tornado victims. I don't think he would had stood up the caravan like that. Let's just blame The Hamm for bad scheduling lol

I'm the current UT Alumni President for Rutherford County. If he was helping tornado victims then so be it. However, UT called me yesterday at 4:30pm and said Dooley didn't get on the plane "this morning". Why wait until an hour and a half before our event to call me?! And it is 8:50 pm the day after, and they still haven't given me an explanation.

Brent Hubbs said that CDD was not confirmed to be there as of a week and a half ago so I don't see how he stiffed them.

I received an email 2 weeks ago that said CDD was confirmed. That same email told me that Cuonzo would not be there due to his new coach meeting in Birmingham.

It does look bad when the biggest name there was Peter Sirmon when fans are used to head coaches AND were lead to believe some would be there. You guys might not think its a big deal but i live in nashville and i can tell you that those people are pizzed off and theres a big fan base there where they have MTSU as an alternative. Thta being said, GBO.

Sucks u got late notice. Sucks the biggest person there was Sirmon. Doubly sucks if you were the one answering questions with little to go on but I'm positive it would not drive me into the arms of MTSU football if roles were reversed. Sometimes it's just good to vent though so vent on.

Truth General isn't really a UT fan. He just likes to b**** and point out everything negative about Tennessee.

Sad that the news is negative most of the time.
But facts are facts.

Step one in solving the problems is to fire " Goober" Hamilton.

This. Definitely. As one poster already said, coach availability is subject to change. Besides, if dude really is the Rutherford Co. Chairperson, then he should know this, and should know that the coaches only are obligated to TWO of these events by contract. If this is y'alls biggest worry, then get out from under the rock you're living under, and go cheer for MTSU like another poster suggested. Geeeeeeeeezz.......
