What is the specific holdup for McCoy?

Transfer waiver.

And yeah, wouldn't be surprised if USC is being sketchy, given the lawsuit and all.

During the waiver process, the first school has time to either support the request or not. Taking their sweet time.

Isn’t the problem that he used his one free transfer? He transferred to Texas then a few month later transferred back to USC…so I believe the NCAA has to officially approve his transfer to Tennessee and grant immediate eligibility.

Yes, Ryan Callahan has said as much.

Uh oh…do we ever get a prompt answer on this kind of stuff? If I’m Heupel and Golesh, I don’t count on having him this season. Then if he does get approval, it’s just found gold.

USC won’t release his transcripts not give him a full out release from football.

IF IF IF in fact that is the case maybe he could incentivize them by refiling the case against them he dropped last month....

McCoy’s court papers were filed Friday with Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell L. Beckloff, requesting dismissal of his case “without prejudice,” meaning it can be refiled later if circumstances warrant him doing so.

McCoy’s action comes five months after USC abandoned its Title IX complaint against McCoy after the player’s former flame refused to take part in a hearing and allow the school access to her medical records.

Wonder if he dropped it thinking it was a done deal with USC?

So am I supposed to blame and hate USC or the NCAA or both for holding up his transfer to us?
