What is the mood of Tennessee football around Knoxville and on campus?

I live a long long way away from Knoxville, can anyone tell me what is the mood is around there? Mad, frustration, or people being patient with Butch right now. 😫

I believe the "mad" has died down some and it's really a lot of pure frustration now. Absolutely no patience and it isn't if he will lose his job, it's when will he lose his job.

the mood with the firing is at an all time high, but the mood with the hiring has hit an all time low...:)

It's glum with no hope in sight as long as CBJ is coach.

We've gone from, "Can't wait for football season" to, "Is it over yet?"

I have two boys in school there. Not a lot of excitement. A lot of apathy. Want a change and speaking by not requesting tickets.

Most of my neighbors have been over Jones for a while. Started early and was fever-pitched by Georgia. Even the nice older lady who flies UT flags on her car isn't going to games or even watching at this point. I have one neighbor who hits every home game, and he is the last one with any hope for Butch turning this program around. One guy probably does know the inner workings of UT somewhat and he says it has been over for Jones for some time now.

Look OD I live over 7 hours from Knoxville and go to most all the games so let me sum this up before you get torched :hi:. Read threads on here, look at fire Butch signs on nationally televised games including an NHL game here in North Carolina, the rock was painted fire Butch, and bumper stickers are being sold. What would you think? The only "patient with Butch " is his Cardiologist and Psychologist. Even Barb is ready for him to go...

Not many leadership reps happening around Knoxville now.

Even Alabama fans are saying stuff like "Hey is he still there, you guys have talent?" I really hate it when we are struggling and Bama fans say something positive about Tennessee.

I don't live in Knoxville but it is so bad no one even rags me when Tennessee loses. Even Bama fans are not ragging on me..........it's a bad feeling when other school fans feel sorry for you and your fav team.

I’m here on ole Rocky Top and it’s depressing. RIP Butch Jones 2012-2017 was on the Rock for DAYS and nobody even bothered to paint over it. Everyone is apathetic about football which is a travesty. The amount of people wearing orange has declined dramatically.
