Colquit family., Y'all have set a standard that will never be surpassed, only compared too.

I will let my VolNation brothers & sisters fill in the blanks of this Storied History.

Is this better than Miami?

Chris Hogue had like an 80 yard punt against Nebraska in the orange bowl. Pretty much the only good thing that happened that night.

I don't know, but one of the espn talking heads called it the "punt of the year" during the post-game show.

The question is, was that the worst drop ever, poor fella will never forget that.

I remember an Auburn/Ole Miss game from Eli's senior year where the AU receiver dropped the game winning td in the end zone. Literally no one was within 5 yards of him.

Two good punts stick out in my memory (I remember a couple of bad punt coverages against Arkansas):

Colquitt vs Miami

Dickson vs Georgia

Iforget which, but one of the pre game pundits gave the special team edge to GA. I don't see it. We are more improved on ST than anywhere else.

Damn you guys have good memories of 10+ year old punts

Ha, true. They stick out when they essentially win you the game. Our defense was outstanding against Miami. That punt did the Canes in though.

Go to YouTube and search - Colquitt punt at Miami.

Leaverton had a monster punt in the '99 Fiesta Bowl.

Yeah. And all it did was add another play or two to another Nebraska scoring drive.

This punt had meaning. The Miami punt was huge, but made bigger by the turnover. Daniel's last punt is the best of my 34 year lifetime.
