What is the greatest pop song ever written?

There are about a dozen songs spanning several decades that I will listen to from beginning to end no matter how many times I have heard them. To me, those are the greatest. But not all of them are pop songs. Journey's Don't Stop Believing is not on my list.

That’s a tough one , starting with earlier hits like “Don’t be Cruel “(Elvis) , “She loves you” (Beatles which by the way is the perfect pop song ) “I get around “(Beach Boys ) to later hits like “Take it Easy “ (Eagles ) , “Thats All “ (Genesis ) , (another perfect pop song) , “Beat It “& “Billie Jean” (MJ) , “Free Falling “ (Tom Petty).

I will say that “One Headlight “ (Wallflowers ) is probably the last great pop song that comes to mind .

Whitney Houston - Wanna Dance with Somebody
Outkast - Hey ya
Britney - Hit me one more time
Rhianna - Umbrella
Lady Gaga - Bad Romance

It's an impossible question and there's way too many incredible songs to say there's only 1 GOAT imo.

It's hard for me to be sure what qualifies but Call Me by Blondie would make my list no matter how many times I ran the simulation.

Lada gaga is a weird gal, I mean she wore a meat suit. That said, I love her voice.
