Some on this board believe that Mark Richt was a great hire for UGA, but say Kiffin was bad for UT?

Thoughts.

well let's look CMR's record-he has a L to Vandy, a L to KY, 2 L to USCe, percentage wise his record against UF is worst than the HC formerly known as CPF. UGA has won the SECE 3 times and has 1 SEC title which was 6 years ago. GA were pre-season #1 went 9-3 and are ranked #16. Excellent recruiter... He reminds me of Vince Dooley in a lot of ways...but I doubt he will ever win an NC a UGA.

on the other hand CLK will win a couple of NC then P. Manning will become HC...:)

Kiffin didn't star in the blockbuster movie "Twister".

Or have a breath taking cameo in that ridiculously terrible football movie that came out a couple of years ago courtesy of the genius minds behind the Left Behind movies. I can't think of the name right now...something Giants?

Facing the Giants that's it! Richt talks to this worthless high school football coach for a couple of minutes and poof his team does a complete 180 and becomes good. One of the worst pieces of garbage I've ever watched. I want to sue the director for the 2 hours I wasted watching it.

Richt--good coach, but now with Meyer and Saban in the league, he will not win another SEC title for a long time. He blows too many big games.

At initial hire, Kiffin is a more popular hire with UT fans than Richt was with UGA fans....

Oh I've always been a movie critic. In my own mind at least...:) I'm pretty sure it's unanimous amongst everyone that that movie blew.

Its unanimous that movie was not a football movie, it was made for a different reason. :good!:
And for that it was a well made movie, and it made its point.

Lane got his shot because he is monte's son...Richt got his shot because Bobby's sons suck.

The movie had to do with trusting in God, something we should all do and maybe the transition to a new coach and new system will not be so disatrous this time.

For me, I don't frame the issue as Richt worked out so people should be all for CLK.

Georgia had been through a few coaches in a short amount of time so Richt was worth a shot. It worked out pretty well for them. I thought MH went right to the desparation pick in CLK. It could very well work out and that would be awesome but I can't understand how some are happy with MH.

My view on CLK: Alright, he's the guy so give him a shot. A real shot! This is a huge hill to climb with the quality of coaching at the schools the Vols will face yearly. CLK will not have the luxury of having to face Chizik (spelling?) and the bafoon at LSU on a yearly basis... No, he will face Saban and Meyer with Spurrier and Richt sprinkled in for a respite.... Not pretty at all! So he should have at least five years to show what he can do or this will turn into a circus like Alabama went throught the last 12 years or so and LSU went through before Saban. But if it doesn't work out, MH should go with him (I'll help load the moving van).

lol.. Did he really think it was a football movie or were you just kidding??? I thought it was an awsome movie myself, but it wasn't anything to do with the football in the movie though....

Good Call, I enjoyed it as well.:good!:
Most movie critics at least understand what the movie is about. That was not made to be a football movie.
