What is the criteria for making a bowl in 2020?

the bowls will decide based on where we finish in our division. so we beat candy, that's 3 sec wins and likely 3rd or 4th in the east which would be a normal low-level bowl. south carolina beats ky.....us, them, and ky finish 3-7. all three would likely get bowl invites. lose to candy.....whew!

I doubt that we would get enough extra practice time to matter.. How much time is there between our last game and the first bowl game??? If some of our younger players actually play most of the game, then it might help for next year. If it is mostly JG and some others that are playing their last game for UT, then I'll take a pass.

I would say Tennessee is a lock for the liberty bowl. It will allow West Tennesseans an opportunity to attend a game. Probably be a pretty good crowd. Also an excuse to go to tunica.

It would be the worst embarrassment for a 2-8 or 3-7 program with a winning tradition like Tennessee to participate in a bowl. Let a small school participate instead.

Tennessee, Penn State, and Michigan will all get bowl invites this year. I'd actually be pretty excited to play either of those teams.
