With all the people that have been suggesting it, is there actually a report out somewhere that we are considering doing the Pink "T" and Checkerboards? I would be all for it, I think it would be better done against LSU or Georgia for pub. but I think it would be cool either way

Seriously. 2-1 Tennessee beating ?-? Buffalo doesn't make the cut for ESPN. Put Pink predominantly on the field and boom, Tennessee's on ESPN.com in a good way. Tennessee's on every episode of Sportscenter that night. Tennessee's got a topic on FirstTake in the morning. Tennessee gets discussed by Mike & Mike. The list goes on and on. It's a brilliant move.

The reason for it being this week would be because it's the first day of October, Breast Cancer Awareness month.

I think we should paint the whole field pink kind of like Boise State does there field with blue.... Thoughts?

It's from the movie The Blind Side. Kathy Bates' character is Michael Oher's tutor and she is an Ole Miss alumnae who tells him that there are bodies buried under Shields-Watkins Field because of the body farm work done at UT. From that point on, UT, which had been near or at the top of his list, had no chance of landing Oher.

I made a joke about the field being painted pink. I'm not sure they'd do the Power T or Checkerboards, but I wouldn't be surprised if they put pink ribbons on the 30's across from the SEC.
