What Is The Attendance Today?

bruno and kiddiedoc are correct. think about it. 55k would essentially be half full. there had to be 80-85k through the third quarter.

if we had more than 70,000 there I would be shocked. the crowd was just boring like the game. credit to the Wyoming fans, they were constantly cheering and on their feet

I would be to if my joke of a team was pummeling a once proud college football powerhouse. Probably the biggest win in their history...

Again, there was definitely more than 80K in the first half, but the quietest I've ever heard. My buddy and I dubbed it official "Bring Your Kids To Neyland Day." Nobody cared.

Photo I took as the Vols were having their last shot at a win with about 3 min to go. Pretty empty

where were you sitting kiddiedoc?

we talked about the same thing. Had little tikes all around us and they other than looking at everything, they behaved amazingly well. We figured since everyone was so quiet, the tikes didn't have any need to get whiny.

I was in GG. Looked around 80k to me. It looked absolutely pathetic. The crowd was pretty subdued, had CPF not "resigned" this week, I think there would have been a lot of booing. Everyone there was there to see the band I think :).

I was there and thought there was about 75,000. Some sections seemed to have more than others. We were in one of the more crowded areas (section O) and there were plenty of open spots. Other parts of the stadium were wide open.

Was there for the 1st half, just a guestimate. 65000 early at 2nd quarter, when we left the masses were evacuating. If there were 40K left at the end I'd be suprised.

there were more than 40k left with a minute to go.

the "masses" didn't leave until well after halftime. closer to, if not actually in the fourth quarter

Just got back to Memphis from the game, nice 24 hour trip......

I would say at the most there were 75-80,000. To me it was the smallest crowd of the year, including MSU and UAB. I was not there for the NIU game though.

I was in Y6 for the first half and Y10 for the second half. Sprawled out in both sections.

We have season tickets in PP behind the south endzone, so I know there were at least two open seats there.

seems like alot of the estimates are putting at between 65, and 80....
which is pretty bad

They just count tickets sold..not b*tts in the seats.

NFL does the same thing. No shows still count if they bought a ticket.

Numbers don't matter it was still Wyoming 13 Tenn Vols 7.Why should we waste our effort for there lack of effort.Plus it is getting way to expensive to go over there.

I agree, most didn't leave until the 4th because we still had a chance to win. There were several empty seats around me, but I would say there was still a good turnout, more than what I expected for a game against wyoming.

Actually our tickets were in the upper deck and someone had several tickets available and gave us a pair of their lower level tickets. So your warning didn't work since they didn't know where I'd be. :p
