What is Tennessee football coming to?

I just dont understand this hire at all, it's pretty bad when South Florida can make a better hire than us. Im really disappointed in Hamilton as of now, I mean why in the hell would he hire Derek Dooley over Kyle Whittingham. This has to be one of the dumbest moves i've ever heard of.

I'd have to imagine there's no way that Mike Hamilton survives this. All we can hope for is that he doesn't sign him to some rediculously long contract like the extension that he gave Fulmer. We'll be right back at this game again 3 years from now after a few 3-9, or 4-8 seasons. We have now become the laughingstock of the college football world.

Face it guys the UT job is not as desirable as we would like to think. Also this is not a done deal yet. Even if it ends up being true. Stand behind the hire and lets see what happens. If you choose to leave then leave. You were not a true fan anyway.

Clearly the job isn't as desirable was we all thought. So far the only names that ever held any real traction were a guy who runs the option, a retread from the regime we just fired, and the son of the most famous coach at one of our top rivals that couldn't even win in the WAC. The first two turned us down leaving us to the third horrific option.

Oh there's no doubt im a true fan, im just disappointed as im sure almost every other vol fan is. I will continue to stand behind Tennessee football and everything associated with it. We were Tennessee when Kiffin was here and we will remain Tennessee regardless of who is hired.

The truth is most other HC's have more class than the guy who just bailed on our program. The timing couldn't be worse for trying to hire a new coach quickly.

I don't know how Dooley will work out. I am encouraged that he seems to have some recruiting skills and is familiar with the SEC. A lot of this will depend on the type of staff he is able to assemble and how many of the recruits we are able to hang onto.

Right now we need stability and loyalty. Let's hope this works.

Love the fact you guys think Kiffin is a better coach than Dooley. You guys have no frickin idea how good Dooley is.
