WTF?

It's really annoying me to hear all the Florida/Bama/LSU fans etc talk about how clearly since we landed Bryce Brown we must have paid off his "handler" and we are going to get put on probation.

Seriously?

There are no facts to back this up at all, and i can guarantee you that every motive and angle were looked at by our staff and higher ups before this kid signed his LOI.

Is this just jealousy by the opposing fans? I dont get it. They are acting like we have this long history of cheating and being put on probation, when in actuality, UT has never been put on probation.

Are people really that stupid? They just make up something like, Oh well UT is constantly cheating so... Really? Since when?

I am over SEC schools guys. I hope everyone of them except us loses every game they ever play.

Sec fans are little whining babies just like Meyer.

Sorry, needed to rant.

A large part of it is never wanting to see your rivals do anything positive. It this case we get a couple extra doses. One is for BB's "handler" and possible issues there. The other is for CLK and the excitement he's bringing to UT.

I'm sure that our staff and the NCAA have done their due diligence regarding Butler and Brown. I don't believe our staff will have (allow) a problem dealing with him going forward. And if other schools don't like CLK, I doubt very seriously that he'll lose any sleep over it.

Let them talk. It's amazing to me that Kiffin has been on the job a little over 3 months, and he is already in the heads of SEC rivals. I love it!

yeah i hear you guys, it just pisses me off that these fools will throw it out there that "UT is a cheating program who is constantly in trouble"

CHECK YOUR FACTS!

GAHHH!

It really steams me when people just make something up in their mind before checking the actual facts. We have never been on probation.

Before I talk any smack to my ONE florida fan friend, I always check my sources.

I would expect the same but.....

I thought it was Bama that was in trouble and could go on probation (again).

You have more faith in the NCAA than I do

I could be wrong but I thought I read somewhere that they had checked him out regarding his site charging for BB updates or something to that effect.

Although, after hearing bits and pieces of the new Bama issues, I would agree that the NCAA doesn't always (ever?) sound very competent.

I'm sure our guys will use this type of slander as motivation for this season, as if they need any more.

the one moniker I don't get used by Bammers about us is UcheaT and how we are "teflon"... what are they refering to? The whole Albert Means fiasco were they paid $150k to get him to come to 'Bama?

It truly ticks me off.

With as widely publicized as this recruiting process went, if something fishy were a part of it there's no chance it would stay hidden for 4 months, much less years. I am going out on a limb of trust here that there's no way that CLK and MH and the rest of the UT staff would be dumb enough to do anything but recruit this kid by the book.

Over on ESPN the bammers are talking about how "fishy" it is that we got both Oku and Brown because they both had a relationship with Butler. They fail to mention that Oku was committed to the Fulmer regime well before BB even had us on his radar.

Also neglecting to mention they signed two star RB's just like we did in Trent Richardson (5 star) and Eddie Lacy (4 star), and all with a proven track records of clean recruiting, eh?

There are always those that trash because they are scared. Most level headed fans respect what he has done. I would rather they be scared than ignore us. Now I only hope we see the results on the field and give them more of a reason to be afraid of us.

Just ignore the ignorant masses of foolish fans of football teams with nothing but a glorious past to hang their hats on. Bama fans like to think that Bear never left, and love to ignore the fact that Neyland owned Bryant.:dunno: Then there is the recent history for them to forget. The bottom line is that they're just angry they didn't sign him because they know that we have a staff that can develop NFL superstars, and he has all the signs of being that kind of talent.

They're just mad that no matter how much mud is being slung at Kiffin by other teams and the media that these recruits just can't look past the fact that this is the greatest coaching staff ever assembled in college football. Genius plan coach! I can only imagine what our recruiting classes will look like when our coaches have 1-2 years to develop recruiting relationships.

I can't wait to see what these guys can do with a full year. 1st and 10 is talking trash about Kiffin, "He better win or they are going to turn on him so fast." Does anybody expect him to magically turn a 5-7 team without a QB into a national championship contender in just one season? Give these guys a year to turn one of these QB's around and a chance to bring in some players, and then we can talk about BCS. I love the trash talk, love the recruits, love the energy and intensity. Didn't they trash Saban just a couple of years ago? Hmm? Sounds like a winner to me!:good!:

Does not come as a surprise with the Handler situation and all it makes it look dirty from the beginning, no matter where he went to school. I had expected talk about whatever school he chose and I am positive so did CLK, MH and the rest of the UT Admin when he said he was coming.

Earlier post was dead on though about doing this by the book. CLK has been too far out there not to do it any other way.

Bama and UF fans are concerned with the recruits We are landing because they see the future of what this staff can do damage wise...LSU seems to be the only fans I have read so far that see's what is happening and they are concerned but are realistic about it, They know this staff is dangerous but like the fact that We play Alabama and UF every year and sooner than later it is going to catch up to those other schools and they like it because it helps them lol...Leave it to LSU fans to add a demented twist to things.

My thoughts exactly. I have been fuming all morning when I have read other message boards/posts on ESPN, etc.

the reports I've read is that the staff wisely went around Butler and straight to the family. I really can't see how a group of recruiters who know every camera and keyboard in the sports media world is pointed at them right now would do anything under the table.

Opposing fans are used to the awww-shucks way of coaching/recruiting that doesn't exist in Knoxville anymore and are not quite sure how to handle the new methods.
