What is going on?

Mauer came in and led the team on its only scoring drive of the game, and he gets benched? And people are on social media saying "See. This is why JG starts." Am I the only one that sees that Mauer is heads and shoulders better?

JG is a cartel prodigy... 😂

BM first drive in the second half looked they were finally getting quarterback play. Second series the play calling reverted to crap. Everything they did the first series was not done in the second series. BM is a better quarterback especially when it comes to running the offense.

THIS. Including totally abandoning the running game on a true freshman who has barely gotten any snaps.

Exactly....there are 9 million reasons why we are not getting rid of Pruitt until the end of his 3rd year at least....$9 million reasons

Does it matter...really?? Pruitt does not know how to be a head coach. This opinion comes from someone who was all in for cornbread until Missouri and Vandy last year. I’m telling you that he doesn’t connect with those players. I’m not really sure he connects with his staff. Pruitt is quickly losing the fans. Does this team even win another game this year? I feel the program is dead anyways, so why bother firing him today, next year or even the end of his contract.

Just so tired of being a doormat. So tired.

Gray and Maurer were good sparks to start the second half and then Chaney pulled the plug on the run game.
By my count, Florida ran 71 plays to our 55!
I thought the energy looked different in that first drive of the 2nd half as well!
GBO!!

We’re getting our ass handed to us because we are led by Beldar Cornbread.

View attachment 226561

He could have never coached a game at Tennessee and it would have been too many. It’s a hell of an indictment, but he’s proven he’s worse than Dooley.
I gave you a like for Beldar Cornbread. Ordinarily I would say that's harsh, but it seems appropriate today.

How many carries did Gray have today?
GBO!!

I just looked it up. He got 6 carries. That is horrendous. Apparently Florida had a banged up secondary...really? The only problem is our QB is not a good passer. Or runner. Or leader on the field. So mix it up and run the d@mn ball and be hard headed about it. Where is Helton because we paid the current guy about twice as much? Looks like other bad investment.

Opioid crisis in full effect. 4-0 lmao. Perhaps you can throw your Alumni status out and magically bring in a coach who will lead us to the SEC championship in his first 2 seasons. I'm sold

I can show you 4 who started the same time Pruitt did, who are not 1-3.

Florida coach
A&M coach
Miss ST coach
And even Arkansas coach

Florida's QB passed for almost 300 yards. We averaged 3.3 yards per carry today and gave up 34 points. QB play is far from the only issue.

Maurer seemed to provide a spark but as soon as he went to a 2nd reciever in the progression he threw into triple coverage. Basically it didn't look like he knew enough of the offense to make the adjustments on the line and have a playbook that is serviceable. That being said I'd throw him out there and tell him to run or dump off if the 1st read isn't open.

Last Saturday a field reporter said JG was really hard on himself. It makes me think he doesn't have the confidence to quickly get over adversity or to quickly get rid of the ball

NO ****!!!!! been that way since last year! Gar-a-tan-no is not a QB and will never see the field at the next level. Obvious we have not spent any time developing the backups

I can’t argue with the results as you laid them out but I look at the root problem differently.

I think firing was the right call in each instance (except Kiffin essentially firing us by leaving.) The real issue was general dysfunction by UTAD. Their timing was often off. They handled Fulmer’s exit poorly, and generally botched the hire process over and over.

We’re not garbage because we fire coaches. we are just inept at hiring coaches.
