If we hire the names that are being tossed around tonight I will get behind them and hope they win. However, what school that has openings this year would swap places with us? I think no one. I understand the situation we are in but how is the best we can do is go after people that no one else are even interviewing for their vacancies?

Tons of schools hiring coaches within 48, all quality coaches for their program.......but yet here we are

To me all you have to do to know if you are hiring a good coach is look at who you are competing with for their services. It appears with this group that would be no one.

Cause phil is being hard headed and valuing Former players over far better proven coaches.

So if it’s one of the names being floated we will be hiring a new coach in 3 years. Phil has a 2 yr contract and then once the new AD is hired they will hire the new coach.

We got rid of a guy who wanted to do it his way and replaced him with a guy who wants to do it his way.

Fulmers contract is not for 2 years

and what if we have made several inquiries about several “far better proven coaches” to agents (most of whom are shared with a single agent so a talk to them is all that is needed in some cases) and they weren’t interested from the start.

I will support whatever Fulmer thinks is best right now. What we want to happen may not be possible right now. We have to do the best we can and surround them with top staff and recruiters and anything is possible

Tennessee hasn't made a splash hire in my lifetime. Its been since 1977 (I think). Ain't gonna happen anytime soon. If a splash hire was to be had it would have already been made public after the Vandy game (like I said a few weeks ago).

At this rate, I’m actually shocked that Randy the Dandy’s name hasn’t been floated by the AD as a potential HC.

Deepest coaching pool ever. The closest we get to doing it right is when an absolute fool and a-hole of an AD and man went rogue.

So disheartening.
