It's not a good bill but that's on Congress. It's their job to write legislation. The problem with Congress is the sides refuse to work together. That has enormous implications. In this case it means that they constrained by the rules of reconciliation. We will never get any meaningful legislation out of Congress until they work together. To be specific, we will never get problems addressed like the deficit, immigration and health care until the sides start working together. Congress sucksSo there are items within it that can only pass under the subterfuge of other parts ? Not much of an endorsement.
The Republicans are the lesser of two fiscal evils. Neither is serious about it but the Republicans are better about than the Dems. The Dems haven't suggested any changes to this bill. NoneFace facts. The republicans have never been serious about balancing the budget or reducing the debt. They are serious only about campaigning on it and insisting that they are for reducing the debt and that this time it will be different.
And then every time they cave.
No, I don't think so. I am voting for them despite the fact that they are worse on fiscal issues than the democrats. The republicans talk budget but they do the opposite. The Republicans are the lesser of two fiscal evils. Neither is serious about it but the Republicans are better about than the Dems. How are Republicans worse? They at least tried to cut things like benefits for illegals, USAID, Medicaid, Planned Parenthood, NPR, Dept of Ed., Ukraine...on and on...and every time the Dems screamed. Every time. What do the Dems wanna cut?No, I don't think so. I am voting for them despite the fact that they are worse on fiscal issues than the democrats. Dana Bash. I am having a hard time coming up with an apt description of her. About the only thing that really sticks in my mind is that she needs to introduce fiber into her diet. Other than that, I can't fathom that she actually has any functioning brain cells other than the ones that are autonomic.![]()
Bessent: Dems Who Oppose Medicaid Work Requirements Believe 'Poor People Are Stupid'
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union" that Democrats who opposed Medicaid work requirements in President Donald Trump's "Big Beautiful Bill" think "poor people are stupid." | Clipswww.breitbart.com
"Host Dana Bash said, “I’m sure you’ve seen and heard a lot of the concern, including, and especially from Republicans who are the most vocal in Congress, about the fact that those work requirements are going to be very cumbersome to actually prove. And it will inevitably force the people who need that Medicaid coverage off the rolls.”
Bessent said, “Well, first of all, the Republicans are not the most vocal on this. It is a group of Democrats who, unfortunately, seem to think that poor people are stupid. I don’t think poor people are stupid. I think they have agency. And I think to have them register twice a year for these benefits, that is not a burden, but these people who want to infantilize the poor and those who need these Medicaid benefits are alarmists.”
He added, “We’ve wanted to put in work requirements, which somehow was very popular under Bill Clinton, was popular under President Obama, and this Democratic Party blew out the deficit in 2020. and they never want to bring it back.”
Her mishandling of the primary process in 2016 is what gave us Trump in the first place. So, she’s really to blame for all the wailing and teeth gnashing currently going on in the democrat party.![]()
'Define Wins': Wasserman Schultz Melts Down Over Trump’s 'Big, Beautiful Bill' [WATCH]

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) appeared on CNN Thursday to push back on President Donald Trump’s recent second-term accomplishments, dismissing his legislative progress and casting doubt on the strength of a new jobs report that exceeded economists’ expectations.
Speaking with CNN host Sara Sidner during a segment of CNN News Central, Wasserman Schultz was asked how Democrats plan to counter President Trump’s recent string of policy wins, including progress on immigration enforcement, improved economic indicators, and momentum behind his flagship domestic legislation known as the “One Big Beautiful Bill.”
“Here are some things that have happened: Gas prices down. Economic indicators are decent. Brand new job report shows that’s much better than expected and border crossings are down,” Sidner said. “And now, Trump’s mega spending bill looks like it’s going to be passed by Republicans. How do you Democrats fight back with the wins that Trump can tout?”
“Well, it depends on how you define wins, Sara,” Wasserman Schultz responded.
She then criticized the pending legislation and framed the proposed policy changes as harmful to low-income Americans.
“I mean, the way I can summarize this big, ugly bill best is Republicans caved, Trump lied and people will die,” Wasserman Schultz said.
97X BAM! The future of rock n roll! 97X BAM!...
Sit this one out, Luther. You guys voting for Trump in the 2016 primary, the 2016 general election, and again in the 2024 primary and general election is "what gave us Trump".
That dead albatross is yours to wear for all time.
Sit this one out, Luther.
Career politicians and decades of empty promises gave YOU Trump. People were fed up with the status quo and went a different direction.
It’s been more than 10 years since Trump’s infamous escalator descent, and you still don’t see how we got here.
Massive Medicaid cuts, hospitals will make less bc they depend on Medicaid reimbursements for low income patients, people are still going to get sick so unpaid medical debt will skyrocket since they’ll be showing up uninsured. The bill extends tax cuts that benefit billionaires not the working class. The bill includes provisions that expand breaks on capital gains taxes which basically exclusively benefit the 1%. Typically these types of cuts increase corporate buybacks and stockholder profits which once again, only benefit the 1%.How?
Try putting someone who is a) cognizant, and b) isn't a Socialist on the ticket and see what happens. You guys voted for him, you're the reason he's in office.
You can try to blame anything else under the sun, but that still won't change the simple fact, that you and the rest of MAGA, voted him into office.
Try putting someone who is a) cognizant, and b) isn't a Socialist on the ticket and see what happens.
Hell, if Biden had even survived to make the ballot, he might have won. That's how shallow the pool is. The DNC installed possibly the only candidate that had no chance. Your anger is severely misguided.
