Also, regarding the controller, think of it this way. I heard somewhere the Wii is going to have a sword fighting game, where you have full independent control of the sword. The remote is like the hilt and you can move it any which way for a fully realistic fight.

sounds like I better start getting in shape if it requires that much activity.

It's being suggested that the Wii will be $249.99. Of course, no one knows for sure right now except Nintendo.

While I think the Wii could be fun, I'm hesitate to buy another N console. Game support for the last 2 has been next to nil. Sure, there's a great game every 6 months (Zelda, Metroid, etc), but I don't like waiting 6 months and only having 4 or 5 games total for a system. Everyone is interested in it because it's different. I just can't see it catching on and being a bit hit 6 months after the "new-ness" wears off. I'm not dismissing it, just taking a cautious approach to it. I hope it's brilliant and good.

I think it will be. I see it as Nintendo going out with a bang, although many American gamers will probably avoid it because of the Nintendo stigma. The one that it's only a family system, with all its good games marketed at kids. Which is completely not true, I've beaten every Grand Theft Auto game on the market, loved God Of War, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Devil May Cry and other similarly gory games. And I've still been able to come back and enjoy Nintendo. Damn shame if these guys truly are out of the console game.
