What in the #### is going on in Knoxville?

After the App State game, it was easy to rationalize the way the team played with "Well, the Vols have been listening to their own hype and came out flat against a team they were supposed to destroy," but the Vols haven't shown any improvement and we are in the third week of the season. Our offense looks woefully inept and we struggle to move the move the ball on rinky dink teams like Ohio. My question is "WTH is going on?" The Vols are a talented veteran team that came into the season with tons of momentum. Wth happened to that team? It's like they haven't practiced at all since the Outback Bowl. A lot of UT fans were thinking this would be the year we would finally contend for an SEC championship again, but the team i'm watching now would be extremely lucky to win 1 or 2 SEC games.

No. Dooley had the excuse of no talent (he couldn't be bothered with recruiting).

If the Vols get the W that's great but damn the expectations are greater than what is being delivered on the field.

Good teams run their offense with little regard to what next week's opponent sees on film - they challenge you to stop them.

Shoop's defense isn't impressive.

I agree that the coaching hasn't been up to par, but I don't think all of this falls on the coaches. This a veteran talented team that pushed two playoff teams to the brink last year and finished the year with a lot of momentum. My point? The Vols should be doing a heck of a lot better thus far despite the bad coaching. We've regressed in every area despite the fact that we returned almost everybody. Something is bad wrong with that picture.

This game is on the players far more than the coaches. Personal foul on the first punt to give them 3 points. Exploiting the young guys in our ssecondary and making moseley look lost. NO SACKS. Dobbs overthrowing 2 td passes to malone. OL whiffing. Receivers dropping a ton of balls, one for an interception. This is all on the players. To make it worse we've lost Cam, JRM, Sapp, etc.
