What ifs?

What if UT beats UF in the Swam this season and the team stays after on the field and Crompton directs the UT band.

The College Football world would be in SHOCK!

What if Alabama got put on probation?

What if Ole Miss was actually ranked??

What if Tebow and Urban Meyer came out of the.....

Oh wait....that's all happening.

LWS that is a very good point, but it seems if this was such a big factor why would TN and FL even be in the mix at this point?

because UT and Florida showed interest and they are just following the game.. My read has been west coast on the kid all along. Coudl it end up different? Sure because anything can happen but I would be really surprised.

He has sure gotten more pub due to who has been interested in him..

Eric do you not think that if Corp starts over Barkley and he redshirts that couldn't change Scroggins perception of his amount of time as a starter there?:dunno:

That's a possibility, but Carroll is pro-Barkley. Carroll wants him to start from Day 1, if he can work it.

I just say...lets see how the season begins...there could be some darkhorses that we haven't heard of yet and they may emerge in October. Also that gives recruits time to see what kind of offense UT will be having on the field. If it shows promise like we all hope it will, there could be a chance to change some kids minds or have underrated kids wanting to show Kiff, Chaney & Co. that they can bring the type of QB they need for their system. Lets remember, Chaney has some experience in producing good QBs and Kiffin has been around good offenses...lets just see what they can do together.

No way Barkley redshirts. If he doesn't start, he's #2 on the depth chart. I'm pretty sure Carroll doesn't trust Mustain as far as he can throw him.

You can take a redshirt off of a player at any point in the season. He would obviously lose a year of eligibility though.

Not much would have changed, IMO.

Yeah you're probably right, but I feel the need to blame someone on the staff for this awful QB situation we're in. So it might as well be the QB coach who hasn't done anything meaningful to date IMO.

What if Tebow gets hit by Berry and gets his leg broken in 2 or 3 places?

What if we make the sugar bowl?

What if Charlie Weiss makes the NC?

What if Berry wins the Heisman?

They will do that in the first 4 games so Lane will put Eric Berry back there and he rushes for over 5,00 yards and still doesn't win the heisman because Tebow took another trip to the Philippines.

What if David Oku and Bryce Brown become the Ronnie Brown/Cadillac Williams of 2009?

What if Eric Berry decides to shock the world and graduate from the school he loves?

What if Peyton Manning has a career ending injury and comes back as UT's QB coach? (Not that I want that to happen...or do I?)

What if Montario Hardesty does everything he says he will?

What if Crompton learns to throw the ball a foot higher?

On the QB front.

What if JC has a good year, which in turn brings us 8 or 9 wins, plus a bowl win.

What if NS steps in next year, with a year of learning the system, and picks up where JC left off, and improves on it, with Brown, Nuke and Teague (along with others) we win 10 games, plus a bowl. Which in turn sets us up for a top 5 QB in 2011.

All in all, what IF we get Scroggins and he sits his FR. like most QBs do.

What if Lane Kiffin fails to win over 6 games his first two years?

What if it takes until 2012 to have a good enough QB to compete?

What if it takes 3 years to develop a solid offensive line?

How hot will his seat be?

Just hypotheticals but very real possibilities as well.

If all of those happen, it will be very warm.

1. We have 2 QBs that are capable, (not great, or even good at this point), but capable.

2.I think the OL will be much improved this year.

Just think, both were bad last year. Worst I have watched since 1985, when I started remembering games. That team should have won 8 games.(UCLA,AU,Wyoming) Our D will win 6 games, and a decent running game, and less TOs will add a couple more.
