What if we lose to Southern Miss?

Bear with me. They only lost to Kentucky by a touchdown and we shouldn't. I don't want us to. I think Currie has shown where he stands on keeping Butch at least through the season. But can we afford to keep this coaching staff around after that?

I guess I know the answer just thinking (worrying) out loud.

I think its become clear that they intend to let him remain until the end of the season.

Nothing changes. Butch isn’t here for ‘18 and the firing will be when it fits the timeline. Don’t worry

I think we have to go interim for the rest of the season if we lose to Southern Miss. I doubt Butch would want to be here if we lose that game it would be a lot worse on him than it is now.

I dont think it matters, he is gone at years end. Losing this weekend may speed it up.

who cares if we lose to SM? We are already the worst team in the worst division of a Mediocre conference. Besides Bama and Ga, there are no good teams in the SEC this year.

What if we lose to Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Bama, Kensucky......ohhh wait, we did that already. :thud:

By a combined 156 - 62 points.......

While I agree with you that the sec is a mediocre conference, it matter to me if we lose. I hate losing no matter what our record is.

I'm not in Knoxville, but I would be extremely proud of my Vol brothers if you guys would break out the mattresses and lighter fluid.

We will hear from coach, that they're a good team (and they prob are, but I just would like to hear coach saying that after wins, not after losses).

Hopefully the BOT hashes this out this weekend. Buyout for Jones is approved. And after the next loss, it will (at minimum) be announced that he is not returning. He may still finish out the year and a "official" lame duck.

Seriously, I doubt we lose this one with Cheech and Chong back.

I just hate the players and recruits see all this crap and don't realize that our fans are better than any others because we care.

Win or lose, he's gone after this weekend. No idea why they would keep him on then fire after a win but it is Tennessee.

If we lose I expect the mods to show up to work drunk BC this place will be too toxic to handle.
