At risk of being crucified and let me make my personal disclaimer I think we should keep Pruitt because we don’t need constant turnover . PURLEY HYPOTHETICAL.!! I just want to garner some response .What if I told you for $200 a year you could have for example (Chris Petersen or Urban Meyer).Fill in the blank, as your HC would you do it ?
If we were the first school to start a go fund me of sorts to get the coach we wanted, if just the fans in Neyland Stadium gave $200 a year we could make him the highest paid coach of all time . Strictly a thought , but what if we had the power to make a change ?

Pruitt has brought zero excitment and energy to the program since day one. Either cut him loose as soon as possible if the season spirals out of control or hold on to him for a bit if he salvages the season.

We would have to agree on a coach. Sabans not coming. Neither is Dabo. Urban's not coming back to the SEC. Would the whole fanbase be able to agree on Peterson or Leach?

I think if we started a go fund me to get Gary Patterson (and we were able to offer him a 75 million/7 year contract)...I think it’d be amazing. And we’d get him. If the fans all got behind one guy (that was actually a realistic candidate), it would be unprecedented and compelling to the individual. Who again I think should be Gary Patterson. Lol

I have you a like because I think that is a good concept.

It would need to be UT Athletic Department Foundations or something like that.

All athletics would need to benefit from it.

Yeah I think it's a great idea. Patterson or Peterson would be my two favorite options followed by Gundy and Leach

If:

0-5 wins = UT can fire them with cause. School covers 100% of the pay and reimburses ticket sales with a hand sign apology from the AD.

6-8 wins = $200/ year per fan

9-11 wins = $300/ year per fan

12 wins = $400/ year per fan

13 wins = $500/ year per fan

Playoff = $600/ year per fan

National Title = $1000/ year per fan

Our problem is we incentivize losers to keep losing. I get buyouts have to be big and the coach “needs” public perception protection but we need to make it hugely profitable to win here. Not so much to be fired. Right now it’s backwards.

If he can remotely turn the crap show we saw last Saturday around he should be given more time. If...

Wow this is a great idea. My concerns are maybe it would scare away coaches as UT likely will win 5 games or less next season regardless of who the coach is but I think it is a good idea. Maybe also factor in the contract year in which a certain record takes place.

Zero excitement ... are you serious? I was extremely excited most of last year and so were a lot of folks. I was excited this year until the Georgia State game. Now ... not so much but I will wait for a few more games to see what happens. GO VOLS.

I once had a cool cat named "Purley". Thanks for the memory.
