.. at social engineering? What if this whole Shiano thing was a setup to hire Kiffin.

Honestly guys if they had done the same thing and announced Kiffin instead of schiano the outrage wouldn't have been quite as bad.. but it woulda been close. Now VN would lap up a Kiffin announcement like starving hounds on a bone.

Not likely its true but its about the only move he has left and he can peewee herman it later on as the greatest bait and switch job in history.

No. Just no. I understand trying to make sense of it, but the truth is Currie is just another incompetent jackass. Haslam forced him in to be another puppet.

If Currie was actually this smart, he would have had some support. Instead he has unanimously turned the entire state of Tennessee against him. He needs to be fired.

What youÂ’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Currie can save his job by hiring Kiffin, but that won't happen. He proves that arrogance and incompetence is a lethal mix.

Not a chance. When we were hiring Frank's replacement there were like 25 names going around and most of them weren't that great. But then he makes them all look like John Wooden when he pulled Bruce F'in Weber out of his ass. He is not qualified to make these kind of decisions.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

What if Currie is a genius

He isn't.

During one of the most critical points in Tennessee football history, this buffoon attempts to make a good ol' boy network hire by bringing in one of his longtime friends whose coaching career has been nothing but sub-par at best and dragging a ton of baggage to boot, and then has the unmitigated gall to suppose Tennessee fans would accept it.

I hope that he is just a dimwit who is in over his head, because if this is hubris, then he has a very low opinion of who Tennessee fans really are.

This is about as likely as Coca-Cola creating the new Coke in order to piss everybody off so bad that they demanded Coke Classic as well as new Coke. That way Coca-Cola can have two products on the market. Not.

YouÂ’re giving him way too much credit.
He is not that sharp.
